60's Modern, Mountain Views, Pool, Near Studios and All L.A. Attractions! Apt 15

We would like to welcome you to our newly remodeled, modern, 1 Bedroom, 1 Full Bath, Apartment.

The Bedroom has a King Size Bed and an 8 ft. sliding glass door that walks out on your own personal balcony with seating and lovely mountain views.

This 622 Square foot apartment sleeps 4 with a Queen Size sofa / Bed in the Living Room and a cot in the Bedroom closet with all the bedding on the shelf above.

There are 2 flights of stairs to access the apartment but the mountain views are much more enjoyable here. Note: ( No Elevator )

The building is located near Griffith Park where 3 freeways merge in Glendale... Interstate 5, U.S. Highway 101 and State Route 134. No matter what direction you decide to venture, you are close to an on-ramp.

A well maintained Swimming Pool is located downstairs with Beach Towels in the linen closet, 2 Lounge Chairs and Bench seating. Individual Chairs also surround the pool.

We have provided 100% Solar Heating but remember...
Most of the year the Solar is more than adequate but if you are visiting us in the winter, the water may be on the cool side. Our days may feel warm, somewhere in the 80's but the nights are long and cool leaving the water cool.

The 2nd level deck provides a reading / lounging area with 2 bench seats and a glass table with 4 chairs. Some of our guests choose to have their meals here!

Hot water for the building is also supplied by Solar but there is no need to worry about lack of hot water. We have 5 Large capacity Storage Tanks and a large backup, gas water heater.

Pay laundry facilities are available in the laundry room...Wash $1.50 - Dry $1.00
We supply you with detergent, spray stain remover and dryer sheets.

An under building, parking space is provided with lots of street parking as well.

We have a dual sided wall heater accessing the Living Room and Bedroom and a through wall Air Conditioner in the Living Room.

There are Remote Controlled multi speed with dimmer, Fan / Light in the Bedroom and the Dining Area

A fully equipped Kitchen has a full size Refrigerator, a glass, Flat Top Range / Oven, a Microwave and a Garbage Disposal. Sorry, NO Dishwasher!

Appliances include a Keurig Coffee Maker with pods, a Waffle Maker, Toaster, Blender Hand Mixer, and Crock Pot plus all the Cookware and Bakeware you may need for your own creations.

Amazing!
We feel so lucky that we came across this amazing spot. The space was clean, well stocked (thank you!) and comfortable. It was central to all of the activities we had planned and getting around was surprisingly easy. The area was safe and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. The hosts were responsive and kind. A total 10 out of 10 experience.

The building is a little older, but the apartment has been updated and it’s absolutely lovely!! The complex was quiet and secure and the pool was great. The essentials and more were in the fridge and cabinets. The hosts were so helpful and kind, and even let us back in when we got into our Uber and realized we left our lunch in the car! 10/10 would stay here again!

Great Centrally Located Apartment
Great location close to so many places of interest in the LA area. The apartment has everything you need; very comfortable. Truly the best place we’ve ever stayed. No weirdness, nothing broken or filthy. They also stock some food essentials: butter, eggs, water, peanut butter…etc! Very nice!

This is a great place!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is great, close to several movie studios, to Griffith Park and other sightseeing spots. The apartment was very clean and the owners really thought of everything in terms of what guests might need, even some food was supplied. We had a great week here and would definitely stay here again!

Every VRBO should be like this one!
We had a great 2-night stay. The rental was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Every VRBO should be like this unit. The location was quiet and took us about 20 minutes to get to Universal Studios. Everything was great, thank you!

Perfect little getaway with old school charm.
I literally booked this place because it reminded me of the South Seas apartment Daniel Larusso lived in, in Karate Kid. The property is in a great location just a little outside all the hustle and bustle of the Hollywood area. Everything was spotlessly clean and they provided pretty much anything you'd need, including some snacks and coffees. We'd definitely stay here again!

Felt like home
Such a great spot to stay. Pretty convenient location in a chill area. The pool was really nice and well maintained. The cupboards and fridge were stocked and we were left with all the supplies we would need to enjoy our stay. Thank you Ray & Sandy! I would love to come back for my next work trip.

Quick drive to Universal
The apartment is very cute inside. The hosts provide everything you could need for a short stay! They had several basic food items in the refrigerator and the pantry so you don’t need to pack everything! The bed was comfortable, and our son loved the pullout bed on the couch by the TV. The extra towels for the pool came in handy, so did the first aid kit when we had a little cut that needed tending to. The plus sides are great hosts, Cute and homey setting, many extras in the home available, and close distance to Universal and L.A in general. Cons: there are 3 flights of stairs to get up to the apartment so if you have a lot of stuff, or a disable family member, it’s a huge pain to carry things up and down. Parking is also not great- it’s a covered stall behind a huge pile of “stuff” the owners need to get rid of so if your car is larger the butt sticks out quite a bit, It’s also detached from the apartment so you have to walk around to get in. The A/C is a very loud wall unit that works great but is super loud and only really cools the living area and not the bedroom. And lastly the area is aged, while the apartment is adorable the complex and surrounding homes/business are run down and kind of dodgy. We didn't feel super safe at night. There was a lot of police activity the week we stayed which was just steps from the door to the complex.

The unit was clean, comfortable, and updated. Unbeknownst to us, the hosts have stocked the unit with breakfast items, snacks, milk, water, and coffee and cream. We definitely would stay there again.

Cozy condo in LA
We had a great stay at this condo. It's very clean, nicely furnished and the bed was super comfy. My kids enjoyed the pool that was in the courtyard. Ray was easy to communicate with and brought up some quarters right away when I asked where to exchange bills to use the laundry machines. The condo is stocked with everything you'll need and a lot of extras - the milk, eggs and pantry items that were provided were a welcome surprise. We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and have never seen these items provided before. It was much appreciated and made our first day in LA a lot easier. You definitely need a car if you're staying here - it's a short easy drive to Universal, and then, well it's LA - expect traffic pretty much everywhere! Parking was under the building and we had no issues getting our sedan into the designated spot. It's not a huge parking spot (this is a city!) so plan accordingly with what vehicle you bring, but it's covered and very convenient.

Die Wohnung hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Alles war sehr ordentlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, wir waren über die vielen vorhandenen Lebensmittel überrascht, die alles noch komfortabler gemacht haben. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe sind reichlich vorhanden, für unsere Ziele in der Stadt war die Lage ideal. Auch das Waschen unserer Kleidung war kein Problem. Das Schwimmbad ist riesig und ist praktisch das Zentrum des Gebäudes. Ray hat uns super informiert und war jederzeit erreichbar.

Highly recommended!
We stayed here for 6 nights and it was great. The apartment was clean and the location was perfect for our family vacation. Sandy and Ray have thoughtfully stocked the apartment with everything you could need for a short or extended stay. We hope to be back soon!

wonderful oasis
The property is lovely. Everything you need is provided. The hosts are wonderful and they don't ask you to do half of the clean up work after your stay.... toss your used towels in the tub and that's it! So refreshing for your vacation mode. The pool is warm and fun. Our family had a terrific time.

Great place! The communication was excellent, and the location was very clean and convenient. Universal Studios was just 10 minutes away. The host provided some food so we wouldn't have to shop on our first busy day.

Communication and getting into the apartment went perfectly. The apartment was not as nice as the pictures. It was clean with the exception of mold in the shower, around the windows and the ceiling. There was a missing piece of the bedroom vertical blinds so the sun woke us up each day around 5am. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of blankets and towels. The ac blew so cold. The pantry and fridge were very well stocked as others have mentioned. The neighborhood felt safe but i would not call it nice. We saw a couple neighbors who live there full time. They were nice. All in all it was a good stay for the price.

Our whole stay was wonderful. The host left nice notes, a stocked pantry, and well prepared amenities. The location has lots of places to eat and explore in very close proximity. It was nice, quiet, and wonderful. Exactly what we needed.

Great little apartment in a great location
We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here if we come to Cali again. It's by far one of the best Vrbos we've stayed in, as far as location, the management and all the extras they provided. The apartment itself is located close to all the things we wanted to do. We were able to get to Universal Studios in 15 minutes and places like the LA zoo, Griffith Observatory and all the museums were 20 minutes or less. The neighborhood was cute and felt safe. We walked to several nearby restaurants, including a good Cuban place and a cafe with a good breakfast right across the street. There was also a taco truck right next door every night with some really great street tacos. Ray was a great host. Very responsive and helpful, and we loved all the extras they provided, such as milk, breakfast items, fruit, and snacks. We also appreciated how easy it was to check out. There wasn't a huge list of things to do before we left like most rentals often require, in fact, there wasn't hardly a list at all.
