The Norfolk Townhouse - Large & Stunning 5BDR Mews Home on Private Street

This sizeable home in a very convenient Bayswater/Paddington location offers a lot of space for family and friends visiting London. It offers tons of natural light, en suites, several living areas, a big kitchen and dining space and is walking distance to many of London's top attractions as well as conveniently located to use the underground to explore London further.

This inviting home was beautifully redecorated with a modern interior. The entire home is in a secluded private mews street for some peace and quiet. The home comes with five bathrooms with four en suite, all bright and clean. There is also a toilet room for guests added convenience. All five bedrooms are equipped with a comfortable mattresses and all you’d need to enjoy a good night’s sleep. The bedrooms have a good size and are quiet, giving you a haven for relaxation. They are accessorised with many design features and beautiful furniture. Three come with king size beds and two with double beds. The cool and large kitchen offers you all that you need, is bright and ready for you to use it. It’s fully stocked and is ready for you to use it. It’s a great space for communal cooking and gathering. The dining room is directly connected to the bright kitchen creating a very sizeable inviting space for fun evenings with friends or family. It even comes with its own cooking island in the middle of the kitchen. And should the cooking not go as planned, it’s only minutes away from bars and restaurants. The living room has a cosy sofas, armchairs and plenty of space for you and all your guest. Like all other rooms it’s furnished to a very high degree and offers quality throughout. It’s the ideal place to relax after a long day of exploring London with a book or by watching some films on the big flat screen TV. As an added bonus, it features a window in the floor, something all guests need to see. It’s elegant design make it a great spot for families, friends and groups used to a certain level of comfort. You’ll notice some stylish designs all over the home. The several story space will have you feeling at home right away. It also offers high-speed WiFi and an office desk space to work, should you need or want to get some work done while there.

You’ll have access to the home at all times. Because the home comes with smart locks, you’ll be able to check in any time after 3pm, but please be mindful of noise after 9pm.

Right in the heart of London only moments away from Paddington Station, many surrounding stations within walking distance and close to two beautiful London parks, this home is the perfect location for friends or family. Both Hyde Park and Regent's park are a few minutes away, and you are surrounded by hundreds of great restaurants and bars nearby in Marylebone with Mayfair, Soho and Notting Hill. With so many tube stations a few steps away, you have easy access to anywhere in London and can walk to most areas of central London in under 25 minutes.

Given the location of the home, most of London's centre is in walking distance or only a very short drive away. With the tube station so close you’ll be able to go anywhere in London quickly. You’ll also be able to hail a London taxi or use Uber to get around.

The home is spread across multiple levels and guests who have difficulties with stairs may find it hard to access the whole home. It’s worth noting that this home has rooms on the lower ground floor, so you might find these rooms darker than expected (perfect if you like darkness when sleeping, though!).

Please, no parties or smoking. Please be respectful of the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 9pm. If these rules are violated we will charge guests to cover the security call out fee and any additional expenses to cover their misbehaviour.

Disgusting, terrible communication
No entry code for the gate was issued prior to our arrival. We finally got help from the hotel around the corner (they are not happy with your company). The couch is stained in multiple areas and is just dirty throughout. Bed pillows yellowed with age. Pillow cases the same. Multiple areas of disrepair of the walls and floors. Mold present along the lower floor and bathroom. There are other concerns, but the worst was noting on our last morning, this morning, that 2 of our family woke with itchy bumpy rashes. We found bed bugs on the 3rd floor bedroom and along the inside of the couch. I am too disgusted to continue at this time and we are looking at what the other proper avenues are in which to lodge formal complaints with photo evidence.

Perfect private location
A groups of 10 friends going on a cruise stayed for a few days prior to heading to cruise. This location was perfect. Finding one location to host us all was not easy but this home for the need perfectly. Our country souls felt very safe, great local food across the street and within walking distance. The hosts were great at communication and answering my questions.

This Could Be a Great Place to Stay
The Norfolk Townhouse is a property in a great location. It is within two blocks of the Paddington train and underground station. An easy walk to Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Harrods. Decent neighborhood, plenty of places to eat, a hop-on, hop-off bus stop half a block away. The house is extremely under cared for. There are scuff marks every where, water damaged areas that smell of mold, furniture is broken and dirty. Three of the five showers are unusable because you cannot control the water temperature. There is not lack of hot water in them, but you will be scalded it is so hot. The kitchen is very understocked. Appliances are usable but you have to guess how to work them because the labels have all been worn off the controls. The refrigerator does not make things very cold, yet there is ice continuously developing on the back wall despite repeated removal. Bath towels were provided but we had to play hide and seek to find them all around the house, they were not readily available in the bathrooms. With a little effort this could be a great rental. We were only there for 4 nights so we made the best of it. We knew there was no way they could move 8 of us and our short visit would have been wasted waiting for them to come and fix things. There have been similar complaints, just seems like no one wants to make this place better.

Great location, but..
The location is superb. But it was rundown, water stains on ceiling, doors that won’t close in bedrooms. And, oh by the way. 1 week before we were to arrive they tell us they are selling the home and will come in at a last minute to show the property , will send someone in to “clean up”. But they refused to say if there was insurance for the possibility of theft. They just wanted us to lock our bags every day. Not very convenient for a large family. Although the location was fantastic I wouldn’t stay again

A rafraîchir en urgence !!!
Emplacement idéal mais le nettoyage final doit être confié à des personnes de confiance... et intégré dans le prix de la location. On a démarré notre séjour par un lavage complet du frigo et de la cuisine en général... (pas du reste et je crains que le sol n’ait pas été lavé depuis des semaines). Heureusement le linge de maison était propre. De plus, les peintures des murs sont très dégradés (des coups et traces de mains partout)... à repeindre d’urgence mais en peinture satinée... Chaque pièce a son problème : abat jour cassé, poignée de porte abîmée, robinet abîmé, problème écoulement douche, problème radiateur au 2 eme étage et dans la chambre du sous-sol, le foyer central de la cuisinière défectueux... Un gros travail de remise en état est à prévoir... Dommage car c’est un bien qui se dégrade alors qu’il devrait sortir du lot par rapport à son emplacement dans Londres. Je plains le propriétaire... Il manque aussi une description de la gestion des poubelles (pas de tri ??). Du coup, le terme « superbe maison » dans l’annonce est inadapté... Pas d’effet WAOOH mais déception...

Super dejligt byhus centralt i London
Vores gruppe på 10 personer nød opholdet i dette skønne byhus, som var placeret både centralt og samtidig ugeneret tæt på Paddington Station. Der var pænt og rent og god plads. Man skal være opmærksom på, at huset er i 4 etager og at der derfor er mange trapper. Virkelig god base for vores ophold i London og ideelt til en stor gruppe.

Poor property management
Pros: property is in a good location near Paddington, is in reasonably good condition (except for scuffed walls) and met general expectations for our stay. Cons: poor communication from property management. Address and contact information not provided (it’s located in Norfolk Mews, not Norfolk Square); took over an hour to reach someone who could direct us to the right place. Arrived back on our second day to find the front door wide open with a stranger in the living room, rummaging through closets. Apparently StayBeyond (the property management company) uses it as a linen storage and needed to transfer some sheets to another property. We should have been notified in advance of the “visit” - poor communication within the company and to guests. Very VERY awkward. Key points: 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, reasonably good for families and small groups. Feels like a managed property- well-furnished but soulless. Verify information prior to visit and make sure they provide contact person and number. Expect intrusions without notice.

Great place, tricky to find
Stayed here for a work trip - lovely and spacious, clean and comfortable. Great to have so many bathrooms and communal spaces. But it was really difficult to find with only half an address provided. This needs to be provided with clear directions upon booking.

Tolles Haus mit Fehlern im Detail
Zunächst das Positive: das Haus liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bahnhofes Paddington in einem gepflegtem Hinterhof. Ein PKW-Stellplatz ist direkt davor und es ist sehr ruhig. Das Haus erstreckt sich über vier Ebenen wobei im Erdgeschoss der Eingangsbereich mit Wohnzimmer und einem WC ist. Im Keller befindet sich die Küche mit Essbereich, ein kleines Schlafzimmer mit Sofacouch sowie ein Hauswirtschaftsraum mit Waschmaschine und Trockner und einem angeschlossenem Bad mit Dusche und WC. Im ersten OG befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit Kingsize Bett und eines mit Queensize Bett. Im Dachgeschoss sind zwei weitere Schlafzimmer mit je einem Queensize Bett. Alle vier Schlafzimmer verfügen über ein En-Suite Badezimmer mit WC und Dusche bzw. Wanne mit Duschmöglichkeit. Die Räume sind relativ geräumig und verfügen über Schränke, Kommoden und auch Wandschränke. Die Küche ist sehr modern ausgestattet und verfügt über alle wichtigen Küchengeräte nebst je einem großem Kühlschrank und Gefrierschrank. Geschirr, Besteck, Töpfe und weitere Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden. Der Esstisch bietet ausreichend Platz für acht Personen, bei 10 wird es schon enger. Die Treppe in den Keller ist komplett aus Glas, während es nach oben über Holztreppen geht. Es gibt Lichtdurchlässe in jeder Etage, im Wohnzimmer geht und sieht man über die Küchenzeile. Insgesamt ein schönes und modernes Haus mit viel Platz. Allerdings gibt es leider auch Negatives. Das Haus ist zwar im ersten Moment sauber, aber im Detail haben wir an jeder Glasfläche die Reste des Saubermachens sehen können. Auf Spiegeln war Putzschleier vorhanden und die Dichtungen und Abschlussschienen der Duschen und Badewannen schon stark verkalkt und wiesen teilweise rötlichen Schimmel auf. Die Toiletten war sauber. Die Waschbecken waren durchweg zu klein, sodass Wasser beim Zähneputzen bzw. Händewaschen auch auf den Boden und die Fronten der darunter befindlichen Schränke tropfte. Reparaturen z. B. an Gardinenschienen wurden nur notdürftig durchgeführt und schon vorhandene Abriebspuren an Wänden und Schränken sind deutlich sichtbar. Eine Kochzone des Induktionsfeldes war defekt und auch Ablagen der Spülmaschine. Teilweise fehlten Leuchtmittel in den Lampen. Ebenso fehlten Hinweise zum WLAN in der Hausmappe mit allen anderen Bedienungsanleitungen. Ganz unschön waren zwei Kakerlaken, die wir im Bad und Hauswirtschaftsraum im Keller erlegt haben und dass sich niemand vom Vermieter trotz Info gemeldet hat.

Suited our needs...
Due to our arrival time and a strict 3pm checkin I actually booked the day before to accommodate our early arrival to be able to drop our bags off and tour about. We arrived to find the house NOT ready with soiled sheets and towels strewn about in the bedrooms and trash on the floor. Upon entering the kitchen we were met with a fowl smell only to discover rotting food in the refrigerator. I made contact with Rusty and he explained "he thought I was arriving on Saturday and not Sunday" I said I paid for the previous day to facilitate our luggage. He insisted the house was clean until I toured him through the property and showed him the mess the previous patrons left. I would like to request a refund of one day stay due to the obvious fact the property was not ready nor habitable due to the mess and rotting food. The rest of the week was seamless! Comfortable house.

Great size and location
This property was a perfect size for our group and it was a great location. It is only a few minutes from the Paddington station so very easy to get anywhere. The only downside is that the place is not well maintained with the walls all scuffed. The place wasn't perfectly clean and not well stocked with items like coffee pods. We did not spend a lot of time in the property so these items were not a big issue. The size and location made it worthwhile. It is great for a group to be able to visit instead of being in separate hotel rooms.

Great spot for a family trip!
Eventhough the managers faced an unexpected boiler issue at the apartment, they notified us before our flight to London, put us up at another flat for the first day/night while they fixed the boiler and moved us here the next day. Smooth sailing after that! We were traveling with a total of 8 people and there were plenty of bathrooms for all! Location is great and would consider staying here again.
