I stay in a lot of hotels but rarely (if ever) leave a review. However I feel compelled to do so for this booking as I ended up staying somewhere else (at additional expense).
The check-in process for this property requires you send a copy of your passport via a website I've never heard of before. I refused to do this and requested that my reservation be cancelled and to receive a refund which was refused/ignored.
Apparently, it is the 'policy' of the property despite the fact that I am a UK citizen and never been asked to upload a a copy of any ID documents before at any other property. The email containing the details of the check-in process was sent to me less than 24 hours before I could cancel and get a refund.
If you wouldn't be happy sending a copy of your ID to a website you've never heard of before for check-in purposes - then this property probably isn't for you either.
