Our inviting vacation home over 2 floors is located on our spacious, with selected tree species, designed residential property and is quietly located. A lovingly designed entrance area leads directly to the bath and sauna (fee required). An oak staircase leads to the actual living area. The bedroom is laid out with high-quality laminate and carpet. The plank-like laminate and the carpets selected in modern design under the two seating groups give the room a special coziness. A generous gable glazing and wooden tiling up to the ridge underline this as well. Of considerable advantage is the connection to the partially covered balcony of 10 m², from which one can observe the colorful hustle and bustle of diverse bird species. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed and an extra bed. The garden is available as a lawn for sunbathing with a parasol and deckchairs. Bicycle storage is available. The variety of coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, perennials and plants invites you to linger.
National Park Saxon Switzerland: About 200 m from our vacation home begins one of the 2 core zones of the National Park. Germany's most popular hiking trail leads past our vacation home and into the wild and romantic Bastei area with its perfect hiking trails and attractive climbing rocks. The highlight is the Bastei with its world-famous view and bridge. Unforgettable views of the panorama with all the mountains and rocks such as Lilienstein, Königstein, Winterberg and the Rauensteine and the Bärensteine, which are located directly in front of it. After about 15 min we reach the first rock formations. In about 1.5 hours you can hike to the Bastei or the town of Wehlen on the Elbe. Experiences of a special kind are the visit of the Felsenbühne Rathen, probably the most beautiful natural theater in Europe and the miniature railway,, Eisenbahnwelten,, in Rathen. Richard Wagner was also active in our region, he composed the opera Lohngrien in the Lohmner Wesenitzgrund ( former Ghs.Lochmühle).
District town Pirna with historical old town: In 2009 the town Pirna celebrated its 775th anniversary. Twice the city was hit by devastating floods (2002 and 2003) and rebuilt more beautiful than ever. Remarkable are the market with the town hall - Canolettoblick, the Marienkirche, the Schiffervorstadt and the medieval, top renovated residential and commercial buildings of the entire historic old town. The facades are adorned with splendid portals, jambs and oriels, testimony to the masterful craft of stonemasonry. The Wilhelminian style houses between the train station and the old town - probably one of the most beautiful streets in Germany - are just as impressive as they are worth seeing. Pirna is optimally connected with the art and culture city Dresden. Every 15 min. the S-Bahn runs in both directions. With the oldest paddle steamer fleet in the world, Dresden is also accessible from May. The Sonnenstein Castle, which towers over the city, will be renovated in the next few years and put to municipal use.
Culture and art city Dresden: In about half an hour by car (25 km) you can reach the city center of Dresden with all its art sites and cultural institutions. Unforgettable Dresden's nightly silhouette of the old town from the opposite bank. In the glow of lights we recognize the world-famous Semper Opera House, the Italian Village, the Cathedral, the Stallhof with the Georgentor, the Hausmannsturm of the almost completely reconstructed Residenzschloss with its extraordinary collections (Green Vault), the Brühslche Terrasse (old fortress) with the Albertinum (collection of paintings by the New Masters) and the newly built synagogue. In the background, the dome of the newly built Fraunkiche towers over the front highlights. The Neumarkt with the town houses around the Frauenkirche, which were built according to historical models, promises an impressive picture. Dresden's Zwinger - a must-see - houses the magnificent collection of Old Masters paintings and other contemporary art collections in the Semper Building.
