"Warm welcome and beautiful room. Ate lunch in the Nelson bar on my own while waiting for partner to arrive and was made to feel comfortable and welcome. Same waiter on the evening - George. He was chatty funny and even sung for us - a fabulous member of staff. The room was beautiful and spa experience was fabulous. We especially enjoyed the live piano music on the evening with a cheeky cocktail or two! Will definitely stay again! "

"It was perfect for a night or 2. I tried contacting the owner before hand to ask booking in time and how to get in but no reply so we were hanging around hoping. More communication would be great, however the rooms were small and had everything we needed. Spotlessly clean, pure white towels, clean bedding and plenty of sockets. Lovely outside seating area. Will definitely return. "

"Very nice large property, excellent bedrooms. Great view from garden overlooking the river. Everything is in the property you need except an ice cube maker, and garden needs a little tidy ."

At check-in, reception staff called Victoria was not very welcome and did not seem keen on relocating us to another room (the one given to us was on a lower level and the lift was out of order). I was with a 1 year old child, pregnant and had heavy suitcases, however she insisted there's was nothing she could do to help, treated us poorly and did not seem to care. That was upsetting as we had visited this hotel once before and had also attended a...
