"Hubby and I stayed for just one night on a road trip. When we arrived Siam was there to give us a very warm welcome and show us to our room which was very good value for a standard room. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we needed to leave early but we did meet Phil and he and Sian make wonderful hosts - welcoming, warm, friendly and super helpful. Guest house was ideal for what we wanted. Ideally situated for ferry, train and surrounding areas.
Although the host did not live on site he called in and was very friendly and informative.
The room was small but it was classed as a cabin, no issues with it at all as we really only used it as a base.
Very clean and comfortable.

"We had a great nights stay here. Please don’t be put off by some of the reviews. The room was clean and spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Comfy bed and plenty of pillows! It’s a great base to explore the local area. The host was very friendly and the bar was perfect for grabbing a drink and sitting outside in the sunshine with it. "

"This is a lovely hotel that has been converted from opd miner's cottages into modern rooms. The rooms are comfortable and clean although a little on the small side if you have a lot of luggage. It is conveniently located just a short walk from the town and the bus stop outside is handy for the sherpa bus. Unfortunately the lake view is now almost obscured by trees across the road. Amy was very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay and is always available. I would definitely recommend this...
