30 minute drive to Naskila Casino in Livingston Texas

This private waterfront, 3 bedroom/2 bath vacation rental retro style home is in an older, middle-class neighborhood-- a great way to check out the Lake Livingston area! Location is convenient...Boat rental availability ( from near by company) along, swimming and private fishing pier nearby. There is a pier on the property for boating, fishing, and swimming. Shopping, entertainment, local events and dining are just minutes away.30 minute drive to Naskila Casino in Livingston Texas, we are also only 30 mins (approx) from Livingston state park, that offers bike/walking trails, bird watching and so much more.
we are also located in an area that doordash will deliver food to the home for you.
We are one of the only company that allows young renters,
as long as someone who is 21 years old is on property.
If you are at least 18 years old
Please note that the boat ramp and pier are at the bottom of the property, it may difficult for some guest to get up and down the hill, there is a place 1/2 block from the house that offers flat ground for guest with difficulty getting up and down the hill to our boat dock/pier
we have added a bbq pit ( charcoal) (1)playpens/a high chair/ booster seat, a baby gate and family games for adults and kids. we have now included dvds and a dvd player and kids books. the couch and love seat have been replaced with comfy couch and love seat that have recliners.

UPON YOUR RESERVATION APPROVAL, 7 DAYS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL DATE YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL WITH ALL THE INFORMATION THAT YOU WILL NEED FOR YOUR TRIP.( if your arrival date is less than 7 days you will get information as soon as you book)

WE ADVISE THAT YOU DOWN LOAD THE /VRBO APP THAT WIL HELP MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED FOR YOUR STAY.

** You will see a admin. fee that is a nightly fee, this is to cover the city/county hotel motel tax that Vrbo does NOT included in your reservation**( Vrbo only charges the state tax to your reservation, this will be listed as lodging fees, therefore the admin fee will cover the rest of the taxes on your reservation).
When renting 30 nights or more it will remove the lodging tax, you can also deducted the admin. fee of any rental 30 nights or more. ( we may have to remove it for you)

Worst place to stay
I can’t even begin to tell you how terrible this place was. It was very dirty and smelled like sewer. The beds are all very old and uncomfortable. The linens on the bed were other stained or dirty. Floors are very unlevel. 1 shower doesn’t work, and that’s good cause there were live roaches in it! We did complain first to host, then VRBO. We’re told the host was unwilling to do anything about any of the problems, then she cancelled our contract (we had prepaid for 23 days), threatened to have police evict us if we didn’t vacate, and refused any refund (this was in day 3). I guess because we had the audacity to report her to VRBO. We have used VRBO many many times in the past with no issues and have good feedback from our hosts. So all I can say is save yourself a nightmare

The only sad thing that only God could control was how low the lake was ... but we drove down to the boat ramp and walked along the beautiful sand beach. The house was much cleaner this time.

Fun place, false description
I planned a stay over a weekend for my brother and a few friends. The whole purpose of the weekend was to enjoy the lake. The description said the boat rental place was a short distance from her so I booked it. Turns out the rental has been gone for over a year now. I wouldn’t have booked the stay if I had known the information.

sadly disappointing
This location is amazing and the home is older which is fine - but it was very dirty inside and out. I'm used to a lakehouse or camp and being older is fine, but this house was icky. Under beds, in corners, closets, etc were so dirty - I dropped something under bed and there we huge dust bunnies and old trash under the bed. The corners behind the night stands were so dirty, the closet where the washer and dryer are is nasty. There was no dish soap or dishwasher pods to clean, I tried to vacuum but it didn't work. We all wore socks the whole time. The beds are not comfortable - old mattresses and there is no mattress pads - there was one mattress pad rolled up on floor of closet and the sheets were thin and pilled. I had crumbs in the king bed which made me think the sheets were not changed. There were two washrags in whole place - one I found in the dryer. I stay in many rentals as I travel a lot - and this was by far the worst. Huget cobwebs and dustbunnies on the ceiling and windows. Years of dirt and wasp nests in the windows. The location is great, the place is big, the living room is comfortable but has two beds in it. The tv's were all nice and streaming worked well. I'm sorry to post this but to pay so much money for three days but we left a day early because we weren't sleeping and were grossed out. Older homes are fine - just clean it well. The host was gracious and allowed us to bring our dogs so we were grateful for that and this has plenty of baby/child ammenities and games.

The house was more than expected! We came with a small puppy, and teens. The home is set up NICELY for pets and small children. Everything you need and then some. Linda is an amazing host, and fishing from the dock was fantastic! We look forward to our next visit!

Want luxury? Move on.
The home is old and well worn, and definitely geared towards families with small children. Flooring is up and down, doors stick. Bathrooms old though some updates. House spiders have left their webs on some lamp shades. Just needs dusting. Beds are not comfortable, thin and hard. All that being said, we still enjoyed the space and had a great two days playing mahjong and catching up with each other. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

Great location, good house layout.
Location for our family fishing trip was great! Slept everyone comfortably and we had 13 11 people staying. House could use some TLC and maintenance, possibly a deep cleaning and painting, but not disgusting or unsanitary. Definitely worth the price paid. Will be back

Good: location, communication with owner, lots of space and beds Bad:Everything else! I question why a cleaning fee was collected and not used! The amount of dust on light fixtures and furniture was awful and had all my allergies heightened. The bathrooms and kitchen surface cleaned. When we went to make coffee, the filter hadn’t been cleaned and it was caked in old coffee and inches of mold. 🤮The worst part was the beds, it was apparent the sheets hadn’t been washed or changed in awhile, dirt and stuff all in the sheets. Thought about washing them but the state of the washer/dryer area was disgusting. And don’t lose something under the sofas or beds, no vacuum has been seen there in a long time. This place was so bad that we cut our trip short and left a day early.

Could be a nice place, however there many many many problems. 1- the stupid gate to enter the deck, not wide enough to Cary a suitcase thru! 2-Dirt and dead roaches on the floor. 3-bath tub doesn’t have a stopper, cold water kept coming out of the shower head. 4-the water controls in the master shower are reversed. Hot is on the right? 5- Light switches for the fans in the living room are behind the refrigerator. Many other cosmetic problems, too many to list separately!!!

Over all house was as described. Plenty of sleeping areas could use a little tlc with some things but over all the views are really nice we slept comfortable and the ac worked great!! Will definitely consider renting the house again in the future. Thanks Linda for letting us stay.. we had a great time staying at your comfortable lake home!!

Renting the property was easy and directions were easy to follow. Never talked with host. Hill to water steep for older adults. Enjoyed the location. House needs some cleaning and painting. I would rent again.

Beautiful location.
The home is dated and needs some tlc. However i believe the owners have it priced appropriate which is on the low end given the condition of the property. It is one of the best locations on lake Livingston. I used to own a home there. If you go to stay in the home then book elsewhere. If you go to spend time on the lake then this is a perfect home. It is expensive but we rented jet skis and a boat while we were there. Boat 800/8hrs and 2 jet skis 8 hours/750. Given the price of this rental we were able to swing that costs.

Spectacular View (3.5 Stars)
3.5 Stars Pros: You are staying here for the view!!! The cotton candy skies in the morning and evening are breathtaking. The dock and fire pit in the back made for awesome family times and memories that will last a life time in this momma heart. We stayed week of Thanksgiving and we were able to use fridge, microwave and stove without issue. (Kitchen is stocked with basics.) AC/Heater both worked well. Week was hit and then cold front came in so we used both settings. We brought our pet and she enjoyed her stay too. Location is just far away to feel like you are away on a true vacation from the busy life but Livingston is close enough to drive to Chic Fil A when momma doesn’t want to cook in the morning! There is ALOT of room and sleeping space. Perfect for a family and guests to hang out comfortably. Nice surprise were the kid games and DVDs too. Neighbors are friendly. Cons: Upon reading reviews I took this was going to need an extra cleaning before we settled in and it was true. Just seems like cleaning folks do a go over but not a deep clean (I.e., bathroom rug had leaves and dirt on it, toilet could use a scrubbing, counters had a few food stains, bathroom had open mini shampoos open on ledge). I brought my cleaning materials from home and just did a quick go over on counters/mirrors and swept a bit. Didn’t take more than 20 min. However, the place could use a deep clean for sure. Not filthy (except laundry room), but dusty, fans have a layer of dust on blades and cob webs and such. True cabin feel! I also took our own bedding because I figured not every thing was washed in between guests if other things are looked over. Worked well! Back yard is beautiful but it is not made for anyone that has trouble walking down/up a slope. We didn’t have problems but we are all younger and don’t have mobility troubles. So over all the place needs a deep clean and updates to a few things but the pros outweigh the cons and I recommend the place for a stay if you are open to some cleaning before hand. My family all voted coming back if we were in the area again.

Amazing Views, great parking
The house was great. Location is far enough out it feels like a out of the way vacation, but close enough to town that if you forgot something it was convenient. We only stayed at the house at night, as we had a Suprise party at another property in the area. The Refrigerator didn't seem to cool properly, also the A/C didn't cool the house down. Thank goodness for the Cool front and the fans in the rooms. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
