"The unit worked out well. It was very clean and functional. The fireplace and deck were pleasant. We did not cook. The only problem was the second bedroom was up a narrow staircase. All three of us are elderly and couldn't negotiate the stairs. So the lone person slept on the couch."

"Overall most of our needs were met as a group. Sleeping spaces for enough people to sleep at least 6 comfortably & then some extra pullout/futon couches available. However a few issues we came across were - the cleanliness upon arrival specifically the presence of dead or live flies at almost every window. Upstairs bedroom the flies were making noise all night at least the first night of our stay. - the water must be well water because it smelled like sulfur every time someone ran the sink...

"There was 9 of us from five states that got together for 4 days. We mainly stayed at the house with one day taking in the village. Made memories. Negative thoughts were safety and cleanliness. The bottom half of house was not really that clean. Previous guests must have had food fight as there was cheese stuck to the ceiling and pull out couch had crumbs galore in the cushions. Should have at least one flashlight for power outages and more garbage bags and paper towels. Bathroom handle down...

"We love staying here because it is scenic, quiet, comfortable, and in the most perfect location. Easy to town. Easy to summer hiking trails (and winter ski trails). Just easy. The beds are all comfortable. Having two bathrooms is a bonus. And the kitchen is well supplied with coffee makers, a plug-in hot water pot, great knives, and plenty of dishes, mugs, and glassware. "We’ve stayed here many times as we love the walkable location. Have always overlooked the fact that it is very basic, but now it’s time to update! Had trouble turning the shower on & the handle came right off! The TV was horrible, nothing in the room matches (rug, comforters, walls), there was food in our garbage when we got there .. all fixable things that would make it more pleasant if addressed "
