The Country House Estate is an Anglo/Irish inspired VRB0 experience for those seeking a luxurious and private escape located in horse country.

The Country House embodies the richness of cultured life in the south and can accommodate up to 12 people. Each of the 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms are meticulously decorated.

The Country House is also the ideal location for you and your party. Attending the races or horse sales at Keeneland, playing golf and spending the weekend on the Bourbon Trail or sending the bride/groom off in style for his/her weekend.

Come celebrate any landmark in your life, or if you're simply seeking an exquisite respite; once inside the gate, traveling under the willow tree behind the stone walls, you will be in a Country House state of mind. Rest assured if you have any issues our on site innkeeper (separate living quarters, no shared space with our guests) will be able to assist you during your stay at The Country House.

The Country House is in the heart of the Bluegrass Bourbon Trail and Thoroughbred Horse Country; within the city limits of Lexington on one of Kentucky's most spectacular designated "Scenic Byways."

UK Graduation
Family from all over the country came to Lexington to celebrate UK Graduation. Property was as advertised. One issue there was no hot water in the first floor shower. Otherwise the property was worked well for us.

Bedrooms are AMAZING!
I rented the house to take some of my staff on a quick trip to Lexington. We are friends, but also work together so needed separate sleeping spaces. Oh my goodness…the bedrooms are even better in person. My mom and I am shared the double bedroom and it is upgraded even from the pictures. The bedrooms and baths are stunning. The rest of the house is great for gathering too…we cooked in the kitchen,made drinks, chatted, played games in the living room. Perfect for a large group of family or friends or even not so close friends :) I will agree with some other reviews that the grounds outside don’t quite live up to the inside, but it appeared there were some new additions, with an porch on the front on one side, some new plantings. And it was February in the Midwest, so we didn’t really want to be outside anyway. Maybe more upgrades to come outside for the summer? And like another review said, there are some doors marked private and seems like maybe someone else stays there sometimes, but we didn’t see anyone else during our stay. Communication was good and directions to get in were clear and easy. My group asked on the way home if we could stay again next year, and I really hope to! I’m sad I’m not sleeping in that gorgeous bedroom tonight!

Beautiful Country Home in Horse Country
The house was a wonderful find and was decorated impeccably! Each bedroom has its own bathroom, so everyone had their own space. There were naps, baths, reading and relaxation had by all! Mitch was accommodating and quick to respond via text to any questions we had. We had firewood delivered and enjoyed the beautiful wood burning fireplace in the living room. The beds, pillow and bedding were all top notch- very comfortable! Two things to note that I did not know from the listing: 1. There are no horses "on property" but they are across the street/next door and can be seen out of most windows. It was wonderful waking up every morning, making coffee with the in-room coffee maker and watching the horses and sunrise out the window. 2. There is a connected living quarters separated by visibly marked and locked doors. Everyone had such a wonderful time, we decided to make it a yearly tradition at this house!!!

This is the coolest house EVER & completely renovated! We will definitely be booking again. Only complaint is there was definitely not enough toilet paper in the bathrooms!

The property is beautiful as well as the area. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The next trip we make to Lexington we will stay at this property again if it’s available. We appreciated hospitality, easy access, and cleanliness of the home. I would recommend this property to anyone staying in that Lexington area.

The pictures don’t do it service
The property managers were highly accessible and communicative. They approved a social gathering in the property, which allowed us the ability to connect with family over dinner whom we hadn’t seen in years due to Covid. The bedrooms and communal furnishings were in great shape and thoughtfully designed with higher end finishes. My only critique is that the exterior (yard and stonework at the front entryway) was not as well maintained as the inside of the home. Other than that, I’d recommend the property to any and everyone. Side note: the extra loft is an additional bedroom that’s not counted in the total space, but it was a very helpful space for our children.

Absolutely Beautiful!!
We were a large group of 13 in Lexington for Railbird Music Festival. Ages ranging from 19-57! The house was incredible! Every room was beautifully decorated, every bedroom had a Keurig coffee maker, the linens were such high quality and the beds….OMG….so comfortable!! Was so relaxing to sit outside and have coffee in the morning. Only had to contact manager once, but that was my fault, had some phone issues and couldn’t open the link for Wi-Fi password. The area where this house is located is a destination in itself!

This was a great house for our family get together. The listing says 5 bedrooms, but there is also a loft with a bed in it. We had plenty of room for our family to have their own space at this beautiful home.

Best Stay Ever! Wish I could give 6 stars!
I can’t say enough good things about this property. It’s a truly magnificent setting and beautiful property. The rooms are massive, extremely comfortable, and luxuriously decorated. They got all the details just right (individual keurigs in every room for example), and the host was wonderful to work with. Was literally the best VRBO stay we’ve ever had.

Great venue for a Kentucky get-away with friends.
This is a beautiful home located in the heart of Kentucky horse farms; large rooms with comfortable amenities and an old Country Estate feel. Great for entertaining with your friends, and centrally located to Lexington venues, and Keeneland horse track. We hit 2 Bourbon Trail Distillery venues nearby as well. Had a minor appliance hiccup during our stay, but the host responded promptly and the problem was solved that day. We definitely come back here again.

Perfect group space
Our group needed a place to gather for meals and large group and small group conversations. This was perfect. The home was clean and beautiful. The property is secluded and peaceful. The hosts were very responsive and came quickly to help during a lockout. Would 100% stay again.

Can I give it more than 5 stars????
Better than the photos, just so stunning in person. It was such a random choice for us, popping up in my search. I clicked on it for fun and then I saw the pics and then nothing else compared! I cannot recommend it enough, the beds are the most comfortable beds - slept like a dream! It was just my husband and I and our 2 kids staying in this massive place but before we left it felt like home. Did I do a photo shoot in every room with my kids? Yes. Haha- you will see why. The owner Ryan was the nicest I have ever worked with on VRBO. Immediate response time- but we never had a single issue- he was just checking in to see that we were happy. If any reviewer found a way to complain about this place, it’s their personality- because they had it all. The neighborhood is stunning, gorgeous homes and horses everywhere! It was our first Kentucky trip- this location was central to our activities-Mammoth Caves, The Ark, The Kentucky horse park, Lincoln’s home and museum and lots of yummy restaurants! Twenty stars, you won’t want to leave!
