Welcome to The Cottage at Gildridge, a cozy 2-bedroom retreat on a 6.35-acre gated estate. Dog-friendly and set in a peaceful rural location, it’s also close to local amenities. Enjoy the stunning landscaped gardens, paved terraces, and lawns, as well as shared amenities like a tennis court and children’s play area. An optional private VIP hot tub and an on-site EV charger are available for your convenience. Perfect for a relaxing countryside escape!

The Cottage at Gildridge includes a sitting/dining room with sliding doors opening to the outdoor area.

It also has a fully equipped kitchen, cloakroom and two first floor bedrooms (one with en suite bathroom).

Extra beds fold up beds available upon request.

The cottage has a small private fenced garden with a hot tub which is available for an extra charge and a picnic table. There is also an area of circa 3.5 acres of lawns that is shared with another cottage.

Set in the middle of the beautiful Sussex Countryside. A property on a small gated estate.

We recommend you have your own transport as this property is in the countryside but within a short drive to Brighton, Eastbourne and plentiful local attractions and countryside walks. Some very good pubs that do exceptional food.

*Chiddingly 1.75 miles, Lewes 8 miles, Eastbourne 12 miles, Brighton & Hove 15 miles, London 49 miles from the property.

*The historic county town of Lewes is some 8 miles from the property and offers a comprehensive range of shops and amenities, together with a mainline train service to London (London Bridge/Victoria about 64 minutes). The coastal, business and entertainment centres of Eastbourne and Brighton & Hove are both about 12 and 15 miles respectively.

*Dog Friendly (up to 2 dogs free of charge per stay).

*Guest needs to send their Ids due to health and safety reasons.

*Hot tub has a 2-night min and must be requested prior to 48 hours of your stay in addition there is a charge.(Hot tub is £40 a night which includes cleaning, chemical, filling and heating 24 hours a day. The Hottub can be used until 9 pm and absolutely no food or drink to be consumed whilst in hot tub.

* The linen for the sofabed is available in the ottoman bed in the ensuite room

*High chairs, travel cots, and stair gates must be requested at least 24 hours before arrival. We do not supply linen, quilts, etc for the travel cot.

*Tennis court is free to use/you would need to bring your own equipment. Tennis court is shared with the two other properties.

*Property features an area for the children to play and is shared with the two other properties.

* Home offers an EV Charger and is a contactless payment and is located in the parking area behind white cottage.

*Max number of cars. 2 each for the Cottages . Plenty of free parking in Whitesmith Lane which is turn left out of the gates and first left turning.

*Coffee is supplied along with cream and sugar for each stay.

*We will send the code to open the front gate prior to check in.

*The Cottage at Gildridge features a Washer and Dryer for your stay.

*We have one additional cottage that sleeps (6) and one large main house which can sleep up to 20 located on the property as well that are available to be rented. Each has their own private hot tub, washer and dryer along with a Smart TV with streaming. Please reach out to discuss rates and dates available for booking.

*Due to health and safety regulations log burners are not available to use.

*Tennis court flood lights are not available.

*No sellotape, blueback or similar to be used to fix any decorations to any surface including walls in the property.

*No fireworks at all. Horses and dogs nearby.

*No loud music.

* Hot Tub is not available 25th and 26th of December.
Pet Policy:
This cottage only allows (2) pets per stay.



Tennis Courts
- Tennis courts are available free of charge year-round. - Please bring your own equipment (equipment can be provided upon request).
- No other games or activities are permitted on the tennis courts.
- Pets are not allowed within the fenced court areas.
- Court gates must remain closed at all times for safety.
- The courts are strictly for tennis use only. Bikes, skates, skateboards, scooters, or any other activities are not allowed on the courts at any time.
- Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times.



HOT TUB - Extra fees apply:
Hot Tub Rules
Water Level: Maintain the water level at the minimum waterline. Use the nearby hosepipe if needed. If not maintained, pumps and heating will shut off.

Lid Use: Always close the lid to retain heat when not in use. Never get in with the lid on or close the lid while in the hot tub.

Personal Responsibility: Use the hot tub at your own risk. Parents are responsible for their children's safety.

Prohibited Users: Pregnant women, children under 9, and individuals with heart conditions should not use the hot tub. Consult a doctor if you take medications or have medical conditions.

Health & Hygiene: Shower before using to remove oils, cosmetics, or hair products. Do not use the hot tub if you have open sores, wounds, cuts, or diarrhoea.

Safety Guidelines:
- Do not use the hot tub under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- No eating or drinking in or near the hot tub.
- No pets, urination, or intimate activities allowed in the hot tub.
- Keep your head above water to avoid overheating.
- Stay hydrated before entering and exit immediately if you feel dizzy, overheated, nauseous, or unwell.

Quiet Hours: Please keep noise to a minimum after 9 PM.

Bathing Suits: Suitable swimwear must be worn at all times.

Hot Tub Cover: Close the lid after use to maintain water temperature. Do not sit, lay, or stand on the cover. A £750 charge applies for damaged covers.

Entry & Exit: Be cautious when entering and exiting to prevent slips or falls.



*Park at your own risk as management assumes no responsibility for any damage, theft, or loss that may occur while the vehicle is parked.


*Caution should be exercised when walking the grounds as there are several ponds on the property.
