the house was fine, upstairs rooms were a bit cramped and the AC did not work too well, especially on a hot day. Downstairs was more comfortable. Our main issue was the location- which should be more clearly outlined in the listing. This was on a busy road ( basically a high way) and very loud, hard to turn into the house and difficult for any walking.

A good long weekend

Ben and I enjoyed a good long weekend at the correctly described Beautiful Lenox Home. Mary, your host, has thought of everything to help you feel comfortable and very quickly to adjust to your home away from home. It is very well located so that you can easily visit the many places of interest nearby. The rules for checking in and out were clear and simple. We are delighted give this a 5-star rating. David and Ben will return, for sure!

Like going to your grandmother's house.

Very clean place. Decorated like your grandmother's house. Homey. And you get to use the garage--a big help on a snowy weekend. If you want convenience and cleanliness, this is a great spot. If you want quiet--skip. It's right on Rt. 7 and you have lots of traffic moving by at high speeds. But to their credit, there are many sound machines to drown it out.

Great spot in Berkshire County

We have stayed here twice and it is a great spot, located a few minute drive north of downtown Lenox. The house is cozy yet spacious and is great for our family to stay in while visiting family in the area. We used the kitchen to cook a meal during one of the stays and we had everything we needed. There is an air hockey table in the basement which the kids enjoyed. The house is on a main road, but it was still easy enough to pull in and out of and the noise of the road did not bother us at all. The host Mary is great and very responsive. We will be back. Thanks Mary!

Great house with old fashioned charm

We had a great stay. The house was well furnished, with plenty of space for us, our children, and my parents. There was a nice dining room and a decent kitchen. Our kids loved the arcade machine and air hockey table, and it was a convenient location. The host was very responsive and friendly. The checkout rules were a bit stringent, and it had the quirks of an older house, but overall we loved the place and would highly recommend it to others.

Family Weekend in Lenox

The home was convenient to hiking, shopping and dining. It is on a busy street and can be a bit tricky getting in and out of driveway. Inside the home was warm and welcoming. The kitchen had all cooking pans and tools we needed to make meals. There is a great grocery store right down the road. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The hostess was very helpful and attentive when we had a question about the heat. Be aware the staircase to upstairs bedrooms and 2nd bathroom are steep. The only not so great surprise was the long list of chores to be done before we checked out. I always leave a rental with nothing in the sink or left out on counters and dirty towels in the bathroom, etc. This list wanted all the beds stripped, garbages emptied and put out side, all the dirty towels downstairs, the dished washed and put away. This seemed excessive especially with the cleaning fee we already paid. Overall it wss a pleasant stay. Just keep in mind you have to clean before checkout.

A perfect place for a stay in the Berkshires

My grown daughter and I stayed here for a two night visit to the Berkshires. It was so nice to have an entire house rather than a hotel room! We received our check in email in plenty of time, the house was clean and furnished with generous amenities such as soaps, shampoos, coffee, etc., the owner was readily available. The house is close to the road, but it really wasnā€™t a problemā€¦white noise machines and air purifiers made sleeping very comfortable, and there was very little traffic noise. The house has plenty of space for relaxing, including a lovely little porch and a great backyard space, which we didnā€™t use, but looked very appealing. The kitchen was well equipped, with all the appliances youā€™d need. We hope to come back next year!

Church Ladies Getaway

Once the air conditioning clicked in, this property was just what we needed. We were concerned about the location close to the road but inside you are unaware and geographically we were in a perfect spot to access all the places we planned to visit. Our host was responsive and even reached out when storm warnings came to give advice. We had a great visit to a beautiful area of the Berkshires. Our finale to many years of travelling together!

A Gem of a Stay!

Mary was wonderful, the place was lovely, cozy and nicely updated and decorated. We were five adults needing a place to stay for the Berkshire Yoga Festival and I wanted to spend more time simply enjoying the home. A very positive experience!

Perfectly location for Lenox, Stockbridge, and other local towns. House was just as described and comfortable for a family of 5. Property contact was proactive, reaching out to make sure we were settled in. Pacman and air hockey games were a big hit! We would book again.

Our stay was fantastic, the house is cozy and well appointed. the beds are prefect, with plenty of warm blankets for a chilly Berkshire night. Our host was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking a family meal. Can't wait to go back next year

Spacious yet cozy home in picturesque location

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time staying here this fall. There was plenty of space to spread out. From the complimentary bottle of wine to the comfortable beds, sofas, and blankets, to the hostā€™s suggestions for restaurants and activities, it felt like staying at a friendā€™s home. The backyard was beautiful, and I enjoyed sitting out there and reading after going on a nearby hike and checking out the town center.

Lovely, comfortable house

Very attractive house that looked just like the images on vrbo. The process was very easy. The house had just about everything for a comfortable stay. It is on route 20, often a very busy, fast moving street. My husband refused to make a left hand turn into the driveway so we had to drive out of our way to turn into the drive! Itā€™s in a great location to get anywhere in the area.

Cozy retreat, close to everything

Mary's place is lovely. I have never stayed at a home rental where I felt more at home. No detail is spared -- I even found green tea when I went looking. The king-size bed in the master bedroom is extremely comfortable, as is the furniture. The bathroom downstairs looked to be newly renovated. Forgot your toothbrush or need moisturizer? Some is conveniently left for you. The decor in every room is soothing and beautiful. Loved the artwork in the kitchen. Yes, the property is on a busy road, but there are air purifiers and sound machines in every room that create a comforting and distracting background. We loved the view out the back windows towards the mountains, and we saw a red-headed woodpecker right by the windows. A delightful stay for the two of us; all that you could want or expect, and then some! Thanks, Mary.

House is very comfortable and clean. Noise canceling (air purifiers) in every room to block noise from very busy Rte 20. Second upstairs bathroom is in one of the 2 bedrooms not adjoining to both rooms.

Close to everything

I enjoyed this property because it was easy and quick to get to the venues we were interested in. It is on Rte 20, and there is a lot of traffic. None of us were bothered and we had the windows open. Very roomy, and we did not trip over one another. I would rent again for the family
