Welcome to Whiskey Mountain Lodge! This beautiful, rental cabin is atop Terry Peak and in the Terry Valley subdivision is approximately 2 blocks from the Terry Peak Ski Lodge. Built in 2015, you will enjoy the newer cabin feel along with the whiskey barrel themed motif. It features 1 king, 3 queens, a double and a set of bunks. It has a private hot tub, natural gas fireplace, full kitchen and a large air-hockey table that can double as a perfect puzzle table. This cabin is hooked up to a natural gas generator so you will never be without power.

In September of 2020 this cabin enjoyed a make-over that included an adult size air hockey table but a larger breakfast table, wine cooler, work station with printer (if you must work), unlimited internet access from Viasat (which is the fasted satellite internet currently available), new outside grill, pub table, new TV’s and many other nice little amenities..

Enjoy a day in the Black Hills and then relax by the fire, in the hot tub, or on deck. Let the kids enjoy Netflix or any other internet accessed platform on any of the four TV’s or watch Direct TV which is available on two of them.

This cabin’s driveway has been made even wider to allow not only plenty of room to park, but to turn around with your trailer and unhook it. There is no need to trailer anywhere as access to snowmobile or jeep trails is within minutes. Skiers have access to Terry Peak via short walk or minute drive from the cabin.

The cabin’s main floor includes: 1 bedroom with the king bed, family room with large flat screen TV, kitchen/dining, dishwasher, bathroom, washer and dryer as well as access to deck with propane grill. The loft includes 1 queen and 1 double bed. The lower level includes a family room with large flat screen, DVD player, CD player, pub table, and large air hockey table, and access to patio and hot tub. One bedroom with one queen bed and the second bedroom has one queen bed and a set of bunk beds. TV’s in both bedrooms are hooked up to internet. The cabin sleeps 12 guests.

Our first VRBO in the hills
Over a great location. The neighborhood is beautiful and nice and close to Terry Peak, with a short drive to town for groceries. The decor is a little outdated, but that is the only thing I have bad to say about it. Hot tub was great, and the overall set up of the cabin was great for as many people as we had staying there.

Great weekend away
The property was just as described and was very easy to find. It was well appointed and suited our group well. A few items needed tending to…the air hockey table was not working but we were able to still use it. Also, the main TV did not work for the first 2 nights of our stay. We contacted the host and followed all directions. It continued to not work but somehow, it started working the final night. Other than those small issues the rest of the stay was great. A cozy property that made great memories for our friends and family.

Great cabin! Peaceful surroundings.
This cabin was just what we were looking for! The surrounding area was so calm and peaceful- we really enjoyed the quiet while sitting out on the deck. The dining area was small for all 8 of us to sit for meals but we just divided up and sat at the table and on the deck.

We actually didn’t end up staying at this property but stayed at a property in Powder House Pass due to an issue with this property. The home we were in was AMAZING!! But the even better part was the communication from Jonna and Deadwood Connections regarding the switch of homes. Totally recommend them in this whole process. Thank you for taking such good care of us! We will stay again!

Beautiful home, out of the way.
There were fans blowing on the basement carpet, we were told because of a heavy rain, but that caused the basement to smell. No bother really, no one slept in the basement. Location was a bit far from everything we were interested in, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Hill City, Keystone, but super close to Deadwood and a decent distance from Spearfish. Property manager was awesome, we had an issue come up late at night, she did her best to rectify that evening, couldn’t, but got it taken care of the next day. Two of the four mornings we were there, we were woken up by the sounds of docks being moved around the property by heavy equipment. One morning it was a load of boulders dumped by a dump truck and then two mornings later, woken by the sound of a skid loader moving those boulders around the property. I would have liked to at the very least had a heads up that would be happening, and would’ve preferred it hit happen at all.

We had a great time!
We enjoyed this house very much! We went skiing all day and then the kid enjoyed all the game options and the hot tub! The propane in the grill was empty, but the owner reimbursed on for getting it refilled so we could enjoy grilling on the deck.

Snowmobile trip 2023
Check in was easy. Very clean and comfortable stay. Hot tub was comfortable with 4 adults. Plenty of parking for three vehicles two big trailers and 10 sleds. Parking is however on a slant, and we had to pull one vehicle with cheap tires up and out.

To small of a place for 11 or 12 people
Well…I agree with several reviews. Cabin is not conducive to small children, limited areas for luggage, to much furniture and stuff in such a small place. Highy recommend to limit guest capacity to 8 or less people to stay comfortably. Owner and manager worked together to resolve multiple issues which arose during our stay.

Pictures make the place look bigger than it is. Nice place just very tight kitchen and dining area. Not much room in the bedrooms for your bags. Definitely could use a deep clean. Lights, bathroom fans, and corners were very dusty and had webs.

We rode motorcycles, and had a truck and trailer, the driveway was a little rough for motorcycles. Overall it worked well for our group, plenty of room.

Family Get Together
Plenty of room for our family of 5 adults and a baby. Large furniture made it difficult to maneuver on the main floor, but there was plenty of seating. They had everything covered as far as amenities go, almost too much as there wasn’t much room left to put away our things. Kitchen was well provided for with dishes, glasses, and flatware. There was a Keurig as well as a regular coffee maker. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. Upstairs loft had a video game table. Downstairs had air hockey and a DVD player (and a hot tub available, although we didn’t take advantage of it). Plenty of parking out front. We had a good time. Enjoy.
