5-Star Review: "What can I possibly say other than, what an excellent property! We had 10 family members plus a 3.5 month old infant and the accommodations were excellent, very comfortable."

This beautiful Black Hills cabin rental has the rustic charm of the Old West, but with all the comforts of home and upscale amenities you want in your vacation home! Located on the Terry Peak Ski Area - close to Historic Deadwood and it is close to Sturgis, too! This cabin features 3 levels with 3 bedrooms (3 queen beds and a set of bunks) as well as an open loft with 2 more queen beds. Easily sleeps 12.

The main level has a open floor plan with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer, living area with gas fireplaceĀ this cabin has everything you need to make yourself at home! Also on the main level is aĀ walkout to the deck where you will find a private hot tub, gas BBQ Grill and great views! The lower level has a flat screen TV, DVD Player and spacious seating for movies and games.

For larger groups the cabin next door is also available for rent.

Cozy little cabin on the hill

Gathering at the cozy cabin nestled in the woods was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to board games. The weekend was filled with laughter, good food, and memorable moments. The hot tub was a huge hit, where we relaxed as snow gently fell around us. Magical! It was the perfect setting for quality time with friends and family.

The house was in a beautiful spot with wonderful views. It was very quiet and peaceful. Our only complaints would be that the game table and dart board didn't work, there were several places where things could have been cleaner, and the hand soaps provided throughout the house were watered down. Other than those things, the property is very nice, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Underwhelmed and smelly

Deadwood Connections manages this property, and while the communication leading up and during the trip was good, the overall experience staying at this location was underwhelming. This particular property is better suited for 10 ppl, not 12. (that's even with kids) The kitchen is VERY small and the counter space is also small. Not ideal for group dinners in the house. We were thankful the weather was pleasant, otherwise it would have been a terrible stay. We had to turn off the air conditioning, as the condensation plate under the air conditioning was broken, leaving the basement carpeting soaking wet. The house smelled of cat urine upon arrival, and if we didn't have the windows open the entire time, being in the house would have been unbearable. The house wasn't as clean as it should have been. Dead flies all around the house, and dust on counter tops and end tables. Our kids wanted to play the air hockey game, but the glass/plastic lid on the game was broken on all sides. If you like to enjoy a bonfire at night, this place does not have the space to accomodate. And lastly, the dryer doesn't dry clothes all the way. We did find out that the lint vent wasn't cleaned for quite some time, having about two inches of lint on the vent. Even after moving the lint from the vent, the dryer didn't dry the way it should. Overall - the stay was wnderwhelming and smelly. Wouldn't stay again.

Neat cabin off the beaten track

The cabin was as described. We had 5 people and there was more than enough room. Most cooking utensils were provided. Beds were comfortable. We fit a trailer, side-by-side and 4 vehicles into the parking spaces and didn't have room to spare but it worked. I would rent again.

Excellent cabin, but tight space for 12 overnight guests

The cabin is excellent and sleeps 12 people, as advertised, provided some guests donā€™t mind sharing a room with 3 other people. I would say it comfortably sleeps 8 adults and up to 4 children, or 12 adults who donā€™t mind bunking together with friends or family members.

Very nice home with easy access to Terry Peak

This was a very nice home. It was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the hot tub was perfect for two people. It is in a development with neighbors close by on both sides so if you're looking for an isolated cabin in the woods this probably isn't your place. But the neighborhood was quiet and it has easy access to Terry Peak for skiing. There is a pretty steep hill to get to the house which could be a struggle if you don't have 4-wheel drive in the winter. Overall, it was a nice stay and we would definitely consider it again if we are in the area.

Weekend in the hills

Great Get Away!

We loved our stay here! The home was very warm and cozy and CLEAN! Just a short drive to downtown Deadwood. We were there for Kool Deadwood Nights. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking gadgets, pot and pans, dishes etc. to make our meals. A great place for us to visit and catch up with family! Oh and the sunsets off the Balcony were amazing!!!

4th of July Family Vacation

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the house. There were 9 of us ages 17 on up and had plenty of room for us all! We really enjoyed the deck off the dinning area in the morning and relaxing in the evening!
