Hosted by gingerbirdart.com As featured on HGTV Hometown season 6 episode 2 (Bones and Bugs) You will be staying in your own suite with a private entrance, bath with a clawfoot tub, hallway and laundry room/kitchenette and a 32" tv for all your streaming needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ramon, Jon, and Lady! Their home is so warm and inviting, and it was so fun to stay in a home that was featured on Hometown! The yard was absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for our 6 month old Golden doodle to run around and make friends with Lady! It was so nice to visit with the host and we so appreciated the recommendations he offered and the homemade dog treats he gave our puppy! You’ll want to stay at Ramon and Jon’s place if you’re in Laurel! We’ll definitely stay again when we’re in the area!

Peaceful!!
Ramon, Jon and Lady were all so welcoming and friendly. The flowers and plants in their backyard were beautiful. The accommodations were very nice. We’ll go back to stay there if we’re traveling that direction in the future. So thankful they were pet friendly!! Highly recommend you choose THIS ONE !!

Perfect, relaxing oasis, close to downtown Laurel
The Ginger Bird Art Suite is very quaint, inviting, and cozy, with excellent hosts, including sweet Lady🐾. We had a wonderful experience & felt right at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to a warm welcome & attention to detail, surrounded by Jon's artwork adorning every wall. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay, including a private entrance, a very comfy bed, & an assortment of pillows to choose from. There’s a small, full-size refrigerator/freezer, Keurig coffee maker with pods, assortment of teas & sweetener, dinnerware & coffee cups, and washer & dryer in the kitchenette. Apple TV with streaming apps in bedroom, strong WiFi . In the spacious bathroom, there are fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & even epsom salt & essential oils for the bathtub. (There’s no shower, so keep in mind for anyone with mobility issues.) We loved relaxing in the rocking chairs on the back porch with coffee or a cocktail, listening to the birds & enjoying the garden & plants. Less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Laurel. Ramon made great restaurant & activity recommendations for exploring their “Home Town.” We left with fond memories & look forward to returning.

A terrific week
We spent an entire week here. We had our dogs plus my husband and myself. It was just perfect. Close to downtown Laurel and so quaint. A beautiful space decorated beautifully with character and whimsy. Jon the artist, had his artwork displayed in the residence as well. The kitchen area was well appointed and the washer dryer was convenient too. The bed was extremely comfortable. The outdoor patio was idyllic and we often sat there in the evening or in the morning. Lady, the resident dog of the owners , was a sweetheart who came to our door every morning to wait and see our dogs! The gardens were starting to bloom and the little nooks and crannies of the gardens were charming. As a gardener myself I loved that. The only drawback is no shower. Beautiful tub with a sprayer. We considered it a make it work moment. I would stay here again and fully recommend it. Jon and Ramon were outstanding hosts.

the property was a short drive from downtown Laurel, very quiet and awesome hosts. we loved the unique setting and the porch where we could take in some relaxing outdoor sounds. Even Lady the dog was warm and friendly. loved staying in a Napier renovated home.

Fantastic stay!
Loved this amazing, comfy & creative suite! Ramon & Jon are so fun to visit with & Jons’s artwork is fantastic - fantasy + botanically perfect! Even purchased 3 pieces! Our pup loved playing with Lab Lady, & totally enjoyed the large backyard. Lovely large porch to lay back on plus the most comfortable bed we’ve slept on our whole trip! Laurel has so much to offer, beautiful old homes & all the special Home Town Reno’s, and delicious dishes at a variety of great restaurants. It was hard to have to leave….

Magnificent Property
I love staying here. The decor and artwork are exceptional. The owners are lovely and if I am lucky, I will see Lady (dog) when I am outside. Laurel offers lots of great restaurants and beautiful sights.

Perfect Getaway
What a delightful get-away! The accommodations were perfect and the hosts absolutely delightful! Ramon gave us excellent suggestions and information on things to do. Our dinner at The Loft was exceptional and we so appreciated his recommendation! Lady was an added bonus - she made friends with our dog - and us. This was such a wonderful experience! I would give it 10 stars if possible❤️

Very cute place, roomy and easy parking. Very comfortable bed, private entrance, washer and dryer available. Only thing I would have liked was control of thermostat. We got a little hot during the night. But I’d definitely recommend and I would stay again if I’m ever this way. Good hosts.

Great suite for a couple, removed from downtown
A delightful suite of rooms in a house that was renovated on the HGTV show "Hometown". If you do the pink limo sightseeing tour in Laurel of homes that have been on the show, this is one of the homes you see. The property consists of three rooms: bedroom, bathroom, and mini-kitchen/breakfast room. All rooms are off a central hallway, which is where you enter from the outside. The bathroom is big, and all rooms have enough space. The suite is part of the house, but it has a separate entrance with a nice porch just next to the door. The porch has seating for relaxing or chilling; the breakfast room has a small table and chair. The bathroom features a large tub as the centerpiece. It is nicely furnished and appointed. One note: while the bathtub does have a handheld extension, there is no shower curtain, so taking a standing shower could lead to everything in the room getting wet. Bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed, and nightstands on both sides. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom (the suite has central A/C). The rest of the room is cozy and again very nicely decorated. Closet is just outside the bedroom in the hallway, with sliding barn doors - big enough for a short stay. Suite's title is appropriate, as it is filled with art objects. Maybe not all to your taste, but a lovely ambience. About two miles from downtown, a straight shot down the road but too far to walk. Ramon, Jon and Lady (the dog) are super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
