"Spoilt by young children, around 9/10 years old, not being supervised, running up & down the corridor, kicking doors & generally shouting and swearing until after 11pm. Otherwise good - when we spoke to Amy about it in the morning she was very apologetic and understanding and said it was not a normal thing - apparently some of the adults were in the bar until 11.45pm. After this explanation we will seriously consider staying again when the need arises. "

"Stunning views to Pendle Hill from our room, friendly staff and an excellent dinner and breakfast. This was a much-needed short getaway and, with a great day’s walking today during which we hardly saw soul, was everything we’d hoped for. We will return. "

"Room 5 paint peeling off the wall and noise from extractor fan. Got moved to room 7 which was nice but black mould on net curtain. "

"The host is very friendly and the property it really nice, bed was a little hard, but nothing to complain about, food and drink at the pub are great and reasonably priced, very homely feel, welcoming and friendly. Watch out though there are a few pubs called the Fox and Hounds in the area, so make sure you go to the right one."
