"We booked the rooms to be close to the hopsital. Perfect location for visiting family Confy beds, Just not enough towels in the family room, Had to get a extra towel out of a relatives room Other than that, it was a comfortable stay"

"We needed to be able to check in an hour earlier than stated as we had to get changed and travel to a wedding. The staff were very helpful and allowed us . Result , we didn't have to get changed in the toilets at the venue and made it on time suited and booted 😂 "

"The Craven Heiffer has a warm and welcoming atmosphere - staff were professional, friendly and approachable and the service was excellent! My hotel room was lovely and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had great nights sleep. I will definitely plan a return journey … the bar staff were lovely and I’d like to thank Gemma in particular ! "

"My stay at the Shakespeare was short but will be remembered as a really good experience. I felt like a truly valued customer, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was good and the bed was huge!! It was 2 lovely nights sleep, nice hot shower in the morning followed by a cooked breakfast. It really set me up for the day. I would most certainly revisit and can recommend it for a good place to stay in Kendal."

"We stayed here as a base for a family wedding, using 5 rooms. Everyone said how good the pub was and the rooms were lovely and quiet. My husband and I had a meal on the night of arrival which was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. It was nice to have plenty of tea bags and milk cartons in the room instead of the usual 2. Very comfortable bed. Can’t fault it at all. Would definitely recommend over the nearby garner hotel as we dropped someone off there and it stank....
