Before our check in time, the owner reached out and communicated that the AC was not working. He found out earlier that day and already had it inspected. The technician would not be able to fix it until the next day. Unfortunately, we needed to find somewhere else to stay due to our 5 month old. The owner remained in constant communication with us, and had offered to refund the first night if we needed to find somewhere else to stay for the night. He also offered to cancel the entire stay and refund us if we found somewhere else. While we did find somewhere else to stay, we would not hesitate to book again in the future. I did rate 4 stars for cleanliness because there were quite a few flies inside, but that might have jusy been from having windows open to try to air it out when the AC broke.
