"The house was nice and the owner was great to deal with, she provided a lot of local knowledge on things to do. I will say that it is on a surprisingly busy road. But the horses were great and the family loved to give them apple slices and carrots. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. Also it’s not too far from Bar Harbor and Arcadia."

"We drove north to Jonesboro for family, and visited MDI. This was a great, central location for our Down East and Acadia travels. Tastefully updated home is a wonderful mix of old and new. Very clean, fully stocked, and spacious with plenty of comfortable beds. The owner was responsive and helpful. We would love to stay here again if we return to the area."

"Overall, this property was a perfect one for our group. The setting and the property itself, as well as the location and proximity to all of our excursions was perfect. The only issues we had were, #1 the beds, which were terrible comfort wise, and #2 the fact the cleaning crew didn't check the oven, where the previous visitors left a leftover meal of seafood and vegetables. Outside of these two minor problems, the stay was very enjoiable. "

"We were so impressed with this home! The size and comfort to allow our group of six the space and privacy was perfect. We enjoyed the firepit, saw a couple of deer, walked to the park almost every day (grandson caught mackerel), and convenient location to Bar Harbor. Acadia was beautiful (but crowded), and my husband and I participated in a SUCCESSFUL whale watch! Bar Harbor is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this home!"
