"A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The view from the house was lovely and a very comfortable place to stay. We loved the pool and swam most days."

"We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!"

"This cottage is lovely and cosy, well appointed. V useful to have a washer/drier. Could have done with a bit more crockery, especially bowls and glasses and the wifi was very intermittent. However, a lovely place and very comfortable. Great location and views."

"The road the cottage is on is extremely quiet and is just a short walk into Grasmere, there is a lot of space and the hot tub is great after a days walking! There is plenty within walking distance so you can leave the car for the weekend! "

"Extremely handy base for walking in this area and easy access to all the village facilities. One thing I hadn’t thought of was the challenge of a dirty dog and only having a small shower cubicle so one to consider if booking! (We made it work somehow). Only slight down side to the property was the sofa isn’t the comfiest place to sit of an evening, but we fixed that by visiting the pub instead. Overall very good for our needs and an easy experience."

"This property needs a good dollop of TLC. The standard of cleaning was poor in lots of areas and the garden needed maintenance. I did not enjoy having to spend an hour of my holiday maintaining the vacuum cleaner, The parking space can only easily be used by small cars, and we chose to use the NT car park as an alternative. It was a shame because the property was nice but could have been a lot better if properly looked after."

"It was the perfect place to spend time with family. Very homey with beautiful views. Great hikes in the area with a great pub nearby to finish the day at."

"Lovely cottage, compact but enough space for two of us and our furry friend. The outside space was perfect for Sasha. There is some road noise but it didn't stop us sleeping well. A little further from Ambleside than we thought though it is walkable. We would stay here again."

"property fine just what we wanted, however perhaps a heads up on things like there was no washing up liquid or dish cloth provided which we thought should have been, also for log burner no fire lighters kindling or a few starter logs . instructions for NEF gob were in font 5 dover couldn’t work out what to do to cook our meal "

"Property- fantastic. Many walks to forests/gardens/fells right from the property- Ferry to towns a 10 min walk. Grounds were charming- the kitchen is incredibly well kitted out for those who like to cook- very comfortable beds and the communication was great with the owners."
