"We needed a comfy jumping off point for local hikes, golf, water sports. This house did the trick: comfortably furnished and very clean. It sits on the main road through town, so quite busy in front of the house. We basically slept and ate there but would not be a first choice for rustic contemplation."

"We had a fabulous time. You would never know there was a town 2 miles from the house. It was very peaceful and welcoming. The cottage was very clean and had no issues what so ever. We were able to choose from quite a few events going on in the area and enjoy the fall foliage. "

"When we arrived at the property, it was exactly as described in the listing and even a little larger than we expected. The setting was beautiful and so peaceful! I loved watching the water from my seat around the fire and listening to all of the woodland creatures going about their day. My son also loved that it was a "classic" Maine Camp.... it was just like one would imagine. We would definitely recommend and stay here again."

"Hosts Jane and Peter are lovely people and keep their home and property very well maintained. We especially enjoyed amazing sunsets at the lake house and time in the screened in porch. We loved the Mountain Views at Blue Mountain State Park- Center Hill Trail and an overlook along the road nearby. Would highly recommend staying here. "

"Minimum amenities; window a/c was dirty, box fan was dirty...got a bit warm but could not use these items. Kuerig coffee maker would be nice, ironing board was also dusty. I believe a deep clean is needed. However, outside was comfortable and the lake view was awesome."

"The little “camp” was spotless, the decor modern and impressive, attention to every detail and comfort well-thought out, and amenities numerous. There were cozy spots for reading or gazing out at the lake. The deck allowed for serious star-gazing. The location is quiet, yet a short drive from bustling Portland or quieter towns. I enjoyed kayaking on the lovely, clear, clean lake, as well as long walks on the camp roads. Check-in/checkout was a breeze. An idyllic getaway!!"

"The house was exactly what we wanted/needed. It was great to be on the lake and have access to use the stand up paddle board and the kayaks. We were close to lots of hiking options, breweries and farm stands. It was a perfect spot to relax. "
