Great location
We enjoy how close this property is to Bok Tower and the fact that it has a beautiful, quiet location on a lake. The home is clean and well-stocked with towels, cooking supplies, novels to read, and a piano! (My only problem came when it was time to check out and I struggled to see the numbers on the lock box in the dark, but that is probably as much my aging eyes as anything!) Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us. Looking forward to staying here again.

Wonderfully Relaxing
Even though Florida's weather wasn't cooperating (cool with periods of "liquid sunshine") during part of our visit, we stayed warm and dry while enjoying some of the many distractions this home offers, including large collections of books, puzzles and games, solid Internet connections, etc. Once the sun finally made a showing, early morning mists were followed by stunning views of Lake Starr. And the views remain awsome all day long and into the evening. We will be back to enjoy more of the beauty and relaxation offered by the wonderful Lake House!

Wonderful!
I wish my plans had not changed and that I would have had more time at the property. It was very relaxing and the amount of games/books/misc the owner left as "relaxation activities" was amazing. The communication from the owner was fantastic. Very spot on and friendly. If I ever go to the Lake Wales area again, this is definitely my first place to stay.

Such a nice, relaxing, piece of property with good southern charm taste.
We absolutely love staying here and hope to be back again. Sandra and Bill were easy to deal with and very trusting with great class. The gift basket was an unexpected pleasure and the real flowers in the living room area were a nice little touch.

Super Relaxing
Our family of 4 stayed here for just 5 nights on a return trip from the Keys to NC. We choose this area because it was close to Legoland and Bok Gardens. I did not expect to find such a cute and comfortable house. Everyone was in love with the house and the view. Everything was well stocked with a great welcome basket too. Super quiet and relaxing to come back to after hitting Legoland, which is 15 minutes away. Bok Gardens is maybe 5 minutes away. If you do stay here definitely check out Spook Hill, neat tiny little side trip. We are 100% going back. I had planned on staying in a different place but this house is just too great.

Another Amazing Winter
We returned to this beautiful Lake House for 10 weeks this winter, out of the Pennsylvania winter. Again, amazing. House well stocked, furnished with character and stunning lake view. Close to everything you would ever need. Owners are helpful and available if needed, but do not intrude. We are already planning for 2019!! Any one going to central Florida should definitely consider this fantastic property.

Relaxing cozy getaway!
Wonderful inviting home in a very quiet area over looking Lake Starr. Beautifully decorated and very very comfortable . Bill and Sandra have gone out of their way to make this a special place to stay and to make guests feel welcome. The house is supplied with everything you need to make it your home away from home. We definitely will be back and recommend it highly to others. Wish we could stay longer!

House is as described; beautiful scenery; easy to find.
We were in town for a weekend race. This property worked out very well for us. Size was great, perfect location to anywhere we needed to go, and the owners left great food recommendations. Very welcoming when we arrived and super helpful if we needed anything during our stay.

Relaxing
We enjoyed our week there with one exception. My wife got very sick the first night and we found out what the cause was. We turned the air conditioner on and it gave off a bad odor. I concluded that the duct work was full of mildew and mold. After airing out the house that night and keeping the windows open it was okay. It really needs some attention.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this 1920's lake house. It has a lot of character! The bed is comfortable and the house is clean. Nice view! We would recommend staying here.

Beautiful, Restful, Quiet, Relaxing... Fantastic Stay!
My wife and I (and later a couple we are friends with) stayed at this home for 5 days. This happened to be the same 5 day time period when hurricane Matthew hit (more on that later). The day we arrived, the homeowner met us at the house to give us a tour. We were blown away by her hospitality and lengths she went to ensure we enjoyed our stay. She provided some essentials we didn't expect, made sure we felt at home, and gave us all the ins and outs of the place. We could have gladly chatted her up for hours! She also gave us a laundry list of things nearby we could do. Our first impressions were great. Very clean home, both mattresses were extremely comfortable, the house was comfortable and cool, and it had all the amenities needed to feel like home... washer and dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, plenty of cooking implements, etc. We actually planned on going out a lot, and only ate out ONCE because we were having more fun BBQ-ing and staying at the house. The view over the lake was beautiful, as was the rest of the property. As an added convenience, there were numerous retail stores nearby for groceries, Rx, etc. There were also numerous puzzles and games, as well as excellent Wi-Fi, cable TV, and Netflix. Cell coverage was decent, but better outside. During our stay, the threat of the hurricane loomed. Leading up to it, the landowners were in touch with us to ensure we were comfortable and felt safe. The day it hit, one of the homeowners came by (they let us know first and we welcomed them) to check on things. We literally slept through the storm the night it hit! All in all, this was a wonderful place to stay, with owners that will go out of their way to take care of their guests (without being intrusive). We can honestly say we didn't want to leave. We flew here from Washington state, and will absolutely plan on staying here again if and when we return to Florida. I can't think of a single thing we were unhappy with. Highly recommend a stay here, you won't want to leave!
