Updated Tahoe Donner Loft

This quiet and cozy studio loft is newly renovated located in the heart of Truckee on the slope at the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area. This studio is complete with a king-size bed, full bathroom, kitchen (with a stovetop, but no oven), sofa bed, and a new flat-screen smart TV with a Roku.

Enter the condo into the fully stocked kitchen with 2-burner heat induction stove top and enjoy your meals at the bar top, or at the dining room table that fits 4. The living room is comfortable with a slider and small balcony and blinds that can be left open to let in the sun. Take the spiral staircase up to the loft where you will find the king bed.

*This desirable location is within close proximity to several other mountains and attractions.

* Tahoe Donner Amenities: The Trout Creek Rec Center is several miles down Northwoods Blvd so you will have to drive there. Vacation Rentals Guests do not have access to the Ski Bowl HOA amenities or pool. You will be provided with 4 guest passes that will allow discounted, daily use of the Tahoe Donner Amenities. Each pass is good for one person, children 3 and under are excluded. STR guests may be required to make reservations during peak season or may be denied access based on availability. Daily prices for STR guests are subject to change and enforced by the Tahoe Donner HOA, not Tahoe Vacation Rentals.

This includes usage of the pools, hot tub, children's play center, tennis, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snow play area, golf, driving range, beach access at nearby Donner Lake, boat rentals, fitness center, horseback riding, campground, and an extensive system of hiking trails

PROPERTY NOTES
* We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing extra for longer stays.
* We do not provide shampoo / conditioner / or body wash although there could be some left from previous guests.
* We recommend 4 x 4, AWD, or carrying snow chains in the winter months.
* There is no air conditioning in this rental.

* Parking: You will have access to the 2 guest parking passes that are linked with the property you are staying in. Parking is outside and first come / first serve.

Lovely Condo
The condo is just as described and is totally comfortable. Standouts are the amazingly comfortable bed (like sleeping on a cloud) and the fantastic water pressure in the shower. Nothing to do with the hosts or the condo but it was a bit farther from downtown truckee than I hoped. 15-20 minute drive to get into town.

Nice quiet spot
My husband and I came up for our 11 year anniversary. We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. My only complaint is that behind the bed was very dusty when I pulled the bed out to plug in a charger. The dishes were also not very clean. I had washed them before using them. Other than that, we had a great stay!

Tahoe Donner stay
The place needs work. Shower had less than 10 minutes of hot water so 2 people could not shower consecutively. The shower flooded the bathroom every time we used it so the floor was soaked most of the time. Had just enough towels for us so didn’t have enough towels to sop up the water every time. The toilet runs constantly and we tried to fix but had no luck so it is loud and then won’t flush properly. The power went out the first morning we were there so lost everything in the refrigerator we had purchased the night before. The outlet the TV is plugged into is faulty so took some time trouble shooting that as well trying to get the TV turned on but it was the outlet that doesn’t work. I called to let them know and I was told the property manager would reach out. I was then texted by someone that did not introduce themselves and was instructed on ways to trouble shoot the problems. They explained that they were short staffed and no other help was offered. They stated a work order was placed and someone would be coming to check on the place and no one ever came out. No one followed up after.

A pretty good condo to stay in for tahoe skiing. It has a nice view of the hills around Truckee. It's not walking distance to Truckee but the location is really nice. The condo has a lot of hooks which is great for skiers. Some odd quirky things like the refrigerator opening the wrong way and the drop leaf dining room table is unusually heavy to move but overall a decent place to stay. The first day the shower ran cold after about 3 minutes, we waited 40 minutes and tried again with the same result. I called the number provided and they responded immeadiatly. The following day we didn't have the problem again so I give them 5 stars for communication and follow through. The check in process couldn't have been easier.

Great skiing location
This is a great place to stay for a few nights for skiing at Tahoe Donner. It is just a few minutes walk to the Ticket office even carrying all the gear and walking with little kids, it's no problem. This made it very convenient for us, we can walk back to the unit for lunch, kids can rest a bit then head back for skiing in the afternoon. The small kitchen is not full sized, no oven or dishwasher but it is fine for a few nights. I brought an Instant Pot and could make meals with no problem using the induction stove in the kitchen. There is no washer/dryer in the unit but a communal laundry down the hall using quarters. All in all this unit is great for a few nights and I would recommend it.

Great location for a great price.
My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this location. It was clean and it was the perfect size for two people. My only suggestion is to provide more towels or suggest to bring beach towels. One per person just really isn’t enough.

Cute & convenient to slopes at Taho Donner!
We liked this little loft for our family of 3. It felt cozy and comfy. We watched movies and played games in the living room. The kitchen is only a sink, microwave, fridge with freezer, and a couple of burners, but that was enough to make simple meals. We ate breakfast at the condo, lunch at the lodge and ordered pizza for dinner. Worked out very nicely! It was warm so we got to enjoy the balcony a bit.

Great stay

Condo could use some TLC bit overall a great stay
As per previous reviews, the condo could use some TLC. The curtain came down when we tried to open it. So we ended up not using it at all. Toilet paper holder is loose, etc - small stuff like that. Also, there is no reading light at the couch and no light for the folding dinner table. Communication with the property management was very smooth, though. We would definetly reccommend.

TD LOFT
The curtains didn’t open properly. The sofa bed was tilted at the top I’m not very comfortable. There were no washcloths or salt. The large burner has a loose connection in a few use both burners in the microwave at the same time you put the fuse. There is no ice in the fridge makes a loud noise and doesn’t close easily. The bathroom sink is clogged. The screen door is a mess! It would be a cute little place with some TLC, andAnd the location is awesome.
