The Alexander House 1887 Farmhouse in North Creek!

The Alexander House is a charming 1887 farmhouse walking distance to North Creek, NY at the base of Gore Mountain. The property is in the heart of the Adirondacks and serves as a gateway to all that wonderful area has to offer!

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Sleeps 8

Hudson River access across the street. 5 mins from Gore Mountain, 3 mins from North Creek Ski Bowl. 30 mins to Lake George. 20 mins to Loon Lake. Hiking, Skiing, Mountain biking, Kayaking, Fishing, and lots more!

Plenty of parking

This is a great house for skiing Gore mountain, Fall Foliage hiking, and doing outdoor activities in the Adirondacks!

We just remodeled the bathrooms - brand new with heated floors for the winter!!

The Alexander House has a full kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave oven, and dishwasher. It is fully stocked! There is a washing machine and dryer, and detergent is provided for your convenience. BBQ grill with propane. Outdoor fire pit with wood provided.

3 queen beds in bedrooms, one queen pull out couch in the living room.

There is plenty of parking by the red wood shed on the property.

We are always available for any questions.

North Creek is in the heart of the Adirondacks at the foot of Gore Mountain. There is so much to do at every adventure level!

Downtown North Creek is about a 5 min walk. Walking distance to the North Creek shuttle.

Our house has a shared driveway with our rear neighbor. There is a hiking trail across the street that overlooks the scenic Hudson river.
- Minimum age of 25 to book, responsible guest must be present for entire stay

-Government ID required

-NO SMOKING OR VAPING in the house.

- Only burn provided wood (seasoned hardwood) in the wood stove; DO NOT LEAVE WOOD STOVE UNATTENDED. Use wood stove at your own risk.

- Only flush toilet paper down the toilet.

- Please remove shoes/boots in the mudroom.

- Do not block driveway; it is shared with our rear neighbors.

- There is a generator if the power goes out, please contact the emergency contact to set up the generator if needed.

- No Parties

-Please treat our home with respect. The cleaning fee is for linens and turnover of the property. Cleaning dishes is the responsibility of the guest. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, we request you run it at check out with any remaining dishes. Additional fees may be added if there is damage to the property or the house is left in poor condition.

- Please report any problems ASAP so we can address them immediately.

Had a great time in North Creek. The house was a quick walk into the village. Chris and Christen were great hosts. Beds were great, house was warm. All-in-all a fantastic weekend!

Lovely little getaway
The house was well stocked with everything we needed, and we even had a welcome s’mores kit from the homeowners, which was great. Beds were comfy, and the fireplace was lovely to use on the evening. Would definitely stay here again!

A hidden gem !
House was exceptionally clean and well kept. The property owners were extremely attentive and responsive to anything we sought. They provided a plethora of items to do and places to visit. Everything you need
Beautiful house with lots of space and properly stocked with everything needed (plenty of towels, dishes, pans, etc.)to make it a great base for a short or long trip. Very clean and well kept. Communication with the hosts was easy and very pleasant. We stayed for a rafting trip but it would be great in the winter for skiing also.

The house was fantastic. Owners were in constant contact leading up the the arrival day. Even sent a message the morning of saying the rental was ready for early arrival. The property is as advertised and more! Chris and Christin are excellent hosts. Prompt communication. They were even able to accommodate an early check in for us. The house was neat, clean and well organized. Plenty of room for our group and ski gear too!! Nice welcome package of hot cocoa and marshmallows! Coffee for the Keurig and along with creamer! We have stayed at many properties over the years and this is top 5! 5 minutes to Gore and we were on the slopes. Definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful Retreat
Our family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. Chris was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with at all times. The proximity to Gore Mountain was unbeatable! (less than 5 minute drive!) It was wonderful to have luxurious accommodations so close to where we were skiing. We appreciated how clean and spacious it was, the comfortable feel and an added bonus was the heated bathroom floors. What's not to love? We would be more than happy to stay here again!

Amazing host and awesome vacation home
We were 7 of us (4 adults and 3 kids), stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful vacation home. The property owners were super responsive and helped us a lot in providing must see sites and attractions. They had the kept the house clean, a lot of fire wood for the fire place and towels and napkins for us to use. The location is not too remote and nor is it in the over crowded location. Its just perfect, loved the overall visit. Kid's loved the board games and outside yard and had lots of fun.

Great ski house
Perfect spot for 3 days of skiing. 5 minutes to the mountain, walk into town...if it's not too cold. Everything in house was well done down to the nice wine glasses. We'll be back!

Comfortable close to the mountain
I cannot say enough about the ease of communication with the property hosts. Check in was so easy. We received recommendations on things to do and tips on the area. They also left us hot chocolate for after our ski days! The yard is not that large and, it might have been the weather, but we didn't have a view. We did have lots of hot water and games to play when we were done with our ski days and that is what we needed.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a ski weekend with our teenagers. Only thing was that we found the beds/ pillows rather hard and uncomfortable and the bathrooms a bit dirty. But otherwise, great house & perfect location. Thank you for the hot chocolate, it was a lovely surprise!

North Creek family ski week
This house was the perfect spot for a ski week with our adult children and new grand daughter. The house has plenty of room, comfortable beds, lots of seating and a wonderful big table to gather around for family meals. Walking distance or a quick drive to the village (grocery and liquor store). We xc skied at the North Creek Bowl 4 minutes away and down hill skied at Gore 7 minutes away! If you haven't tried Gore before its a great ski mt and no crowds! We loved our stay in this great location. Hosts were great. We hope to be back again.

Excellent accommodations
The house is spacious, well-equipped, and within walking distance to most of North Creek. The bridge over the Hudson is only a stone's throw away and a great place to watch the sunset. The owners are extremely helpful and informative. They emailed exhaustive information and advice on what to do in the area, which we used quite a bit. When we accidentally left a few clothing items behind, they notified us promptly and mailed them to us.

Great location for walks
The house was as described and very comfortable. Good kitchen with all that was needed to prepare/cook meals and a great dining area. Unfortunately the weather was not conducive to sitting outside to enjoy the firepit. We would like to make a couple of suggestions. A mirror is needed in two of the bedrooms, as with a number of people staying not everyone can use the bathroom to apply makeup, brush hair, etc. Also, suggest some hooks or towel rails in the bedrooms as only one bar in upstairs bathroom to hang towels. Otherwise an excellent stay. Thank you.

Lovely home very close to Gore Mountain
We were a group of four and the home was very spacious and large enough to accommodate us with plenty of room for more. The home was very well arranged and very clean!! Any communication with the host was quick and full of helpful information. Do not hesitate to book this home you won’t be disappointed.
