Your picturesque beach cottage located in the heart of La Jolla. Only a 10-minute walk to the beach, this bright and fresh character-filled bungalow provides the ideal home base for enjoying the myriad of activities that sunny San Diego has to offer. Vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and a modern beachy decor detail the interior with breezy bedrooms flowing into modern ensuites. Outside, the patio welcomes alfresco BBQ meals on summer evenings and provides the ultimate setting for swapping stories and celebrations!

Home Truths:
- We allow service animals at this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- We no longer have bikes available at this property.
- This home was built in 1926. We ask that guests are mindful of the smaller doorways and unique features.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- This home is located in a neighborhood with a strict noise ordinance policy and therefore is only suitable for quieter groups. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000.
- Please note that the property is near a busy road, and some noise may be heard at times.
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted.
- Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine.
- While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance.
- No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings.
- All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.

Two cars can fit in the driveway.
Street parking is very limited.

This home comes with a pack n' play travel crib available. A high chair can be provided upon request with at least 24hrs advanced notice. Just ask and we are happy to accommodate you and your little ones!

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

Great location

Our family had a great time here and found everything we needed stocked for four nights. The beds and sleeping arrangements were comfortable and there was plenty of kitchen tools stocked. I would only suggest that management look into the lights. There were a few lights flickering in every room.

Even better than the pictures and write up. Plenty of space for our family of five. Kitchen is well stocked, location to groceries, shops and water all a quick walk. Decks are showing their age but in a costly area, we thought this house was great. AvantStay was quick to replay with any questions and house was very clean.

Amazing location in La Jolla!

The beautiful property is located near the village of La Jolla, CA, tucked away on a quiet street but so close to all of the shops/restaurants. We had the best time being so close to everything. The house is super cute and was a perfect fit for our family for the week. We enhanced our stay with the "stocked fridge" option and appreciated this being done for us upon our arrival. The house is well maintained and the Avant Team were an absolute pleasure to work with! We would highly recommend this property to any looking at staying in SoCal!

What a great location if you love La Jolla Village and park! Great access to awesome restaurants and we had a great time cooking at home as well. Fun beach vibe with great backyard area. We would definitely book again!

Great location

I wanted to share some feedback on the house -- I do a lot of travel, and when all is said and done, we paid 1K/night here in Aug 2020. With that cost, we expected more. The good -- -great location; you can walk down to JL Cove, shopping and restaurants in 5 minutes. -cute furnishings -clean hardwood floors -decent kitchen Things that need attention- -the bed in the master is HARD AS A ROCK, I mean it has no give at all. Terrible to sleep on all week. -the twin beds are so soft you can feel the coils in your back. Both of my kids could not sleep on them. One ended up on the sofa and the other with my Mom in the room with the queen bed. -the walls and baseboards are grungy and dirty -- especially in the master bathroom where the grout is also SO dirty. The shower walls are mildewed. -the paint throughout the home is peeling or marked up. The entire interior needs a thorough, fresh paint job -the 'beach chairs' are not really beach chairs and the boogie boards are old and not good -the towels are OLD and stained and terrible quality. It's in dire need of a new nice set of regular towels and beach towels.

Darling bungalow!

Pros: This house is just as cute as the photos! Cozy home with comfy beds and accommodations. It is a darling vintage home that has been updated. I'd rent it again! Cons: The rear deck was rotted in placed with holes, windows were sticky to open. One side of the pretty outdoor table with chairs is on the edge of the multi level deck. Slide a chair back and could fall off. Shower handle in the guest bathroom is a bit confusing figuring out hot/cold water. Parking off street is tight but worked. Garbage cans were full upon arrival but management was quick to take it away.
