Guest House

This is one truly adorable guest home that you will not want to miss. It is a block away from the breathtaking beach. Perfectly located 1/2 a mile between the famous Wind n Sea Beach and La Jolla Cove. Come park your car and never have to get back in it! Conveniently located on the Bike Path, great for walks or jogging. A short 1/2 mile from Village for shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. The home has been completely remodeled, flat screen TV in the living area and bedroom, a queen size Tempur-Pedic bed, bamboo wood floors in the kitchen and living space, out door heated shower to wash off at when coming back from the beach, washer and dryer and private entrance...No expense was spared. If you want to experience La Jolla this is the place for you.

Relaxing Beach Vacation
Location cannot be beat! Neighborhood is quiet. We visited several beaches in the area and the beach right next to our VBRO was our favorite. Parking is on the street but we never had trouble finding a spot. The house was clean and well stocked. Bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Johns guest house is perfect. It’s comfort, relaxing, quiet, close to the beautiful beach (just a few steps) in a beautiful walkable neighborhood where you can get everything you need for the day or week. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will be back John is the kindest host if you need anything he is available to help and has thought of every detail to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. If you have the opportunity to spend time at Johns guest house my advice is do it you won’t regret and I bet you will be planning another trip back it’s that wonderful

Would live here permanently if I were single!
Loved this property - one of my all time favorites. Very clean, cozy, really thoughtfully outfitted place . John is really nice and easy to communicate with. If I were single, I could see myself living in a place just like this!

This is a lovely accommodation in a great location. It was so nice to have some living space to relax and enjoy. The photos are spot on. We walked to the beach (access is 1 block away), grocery store, and restaurants in La Jolla. John is a gracious and thoughtful host. We would definitely come back

Beautiful spot less than two blocks to the La Jolla Beach
This is a wonderful find! From the location, to the beautiful vaulted ceiling, to the well spaced kitchen, this lovely place has it all. Everything was clean, well, organized, secure, quiet, and just two blocks from the ocean. There were two large TVs that have Internet access so you can watch Netflix and Hulu as well as a great little secluded patio to eat your meals. While driving there is ideal and we rented a car, there’s a lot of walking opportunities, including the grocery store and many dining Places within less than a mile walk. On top of that, John lives on site and is extremely helpful and friendly and always willing to lend a hand if needed. 5 stars across the board. We will definitely be coming back!

Cozy and comfortable home
Had a super time at this cosy comfortable and quiet property. Location is great so close to the ocean and easy walking distance to pretty La Jolla. . The place itself is spotless and beautifully decorated with everything you need for a visit. John is a lovely host available to respond to questions but not at all intrusive. Great property!
This property was amazing. Beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you may need. Only 2 blocks from the beach and short walk to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed having coffee and cocktails on the front deck with the ocean view. John was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely return.

Lovely little guest house
The guesthouse was very clean and tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed, complimentary bottle of wine - which was delicious, beach chairs and well equipped kitchen. An easy walk to the beach which was great but meant parking was hard to find at times. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Since the porch with the view of the beach is at the front of the main house, I didn't make use of the space as I had intended. All in all a very nice place to stay with a gracious host.

A Gem by the Sea
We enjoyed a month at the owner's property immensely. Ideally located just a 2-minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes into downtown La Jolla, we rarely used our car. The rental is nicely decorated with outside areas easily accessible to enjoy an ocean view and the great weather. It's ideal situation for two people. The host lives adjacent to the property and is very accommodating regarding any request. We highly recommend the property and look forward to a future stay when in the area.

Great property exactly as described. Perfect for my husband and I on our first trip to La Jolla. John was awesome with suggestions for dining etc. We highly recommend to anyone staying in La Jolla. Great location within walking distance to everything but not in a “commercialized” area.

Amazing stay

Fabulous stay! Again!
We loved our stay. Again! We stayed here last year and liked it so much we came back! John is a wonderful host, the house is beautiful, and the location is ideal. Outstanding location waking distance to the village with many restaurant and shopping option, you can see the beach from the property. John was great with his hospitality and great suggestions. Kitchen was well equipped to easily cook meals if you choose. Bed was very comfortable and the whole place was very clean. Couldn't ask for anything better. Epic run along the coast with outstanding views with close up sightings of sea lions and harbor seals and pelicans. Great shopping in the village.

This little carriage house was so adorable and had everything we needed. Just two blocks from the ocean and a short walk to downtown, it could not have been more convenient for our idyllic La Jolla getaway.
