"If you're looking to get away from it all for a weekend and you enjoy the splendor of the Mt. Rainier area, this is your place to go to. Hosts were very responsive and left some nice snacks for us. If you are looking for a speedy wi-fi connection, please note that while there is wi-fi it is slower, but why are you going online when you are in the middle of one of the most beautiful areas in the country anyway? "Over all it was a good weekend the cabin was cute and fairly clean, however when we arrived there was food on the front burner pan 2 out of the 3 coffee cups were dirty with coffee, had to wash those before we could use them took a shower and the towels smelt bad so I washed them thinking that it might help but it did not. I think the washer needs to be cleaned. The bed on the other hand was so comfortable and it was quite just what we needed and "

"My partner and I went for our anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and we lucked out waking up to snow every morning. The sauna and the hot tub were fantastic! The kitchen is well equipped and even though the oven was not able to be used, the toaster oven fit the bill! Overall, the experience was lovely and they really did a great job putting this little nest together! The only problem we experienced was the bed, it was soft and there was a divot in the middle so it was hard to get comfortable."

"We had a lovely stay here! It was a weekend away with our toddlers and we felt both secluded and at peace in this perfect little cabin. It's so close to Mt Rainier! Not gonna lie, the French doors were a little tricky to lock and unlock but they gave great directions in the PDF sent before we arrived. So thank you! "A much needed respite after the holidays. This was our second visit to Nelson Base Camp and it did not disappoint. A perfect cabin and location for both adventure and relaxation."

"I have stayed in several cabins in Ashford but this was by far my favorite. The hot tub was phenomenal. Roomy with powerful jets, covered from the rain, and private. My partner and I (late 20’s) actually had more fun with the kids gaming table than we would have thought. Host gave clear instructions and great communication. This was perfect for a romantic/relaxing getaway and I definitely would stay here again!!"

"So sad we only spent one night. It was a little clunky getting the code but I assumed that was because we booked through Expedia. We were a bit nervous considering the area lack of development however this property over delivered. They had great notes about places to eat and trails that were recommended. We had our children with us and they too loved the house. Extremely clean and details were all thought of! Thank you! (My first 5 star rating ever I believe)"

"Sadly our trip was cut short due to a tree falling on the house, but the place was amazing and clean so it could've been a wonderful stay."

"Had a great weekend with my father at Mt. Rainier. My dad can be pretty grumpy and picky, but he was extremely impressed with The Outlook, and it made the weekend trip far more comfortable than any of the nearby hotels would have been. It was comfortable, very clean, with great amenities and in a perfect location. Also really appreciated the clear communication from the owner. Thank you!"

"Minimal,cosy and clean rooms. As soon as we entered the room it smelled divine. The view from our room was insanely gorgeous. We arrived late so we had to chekin online. The process was a breeze. They have a cafe and a Ukranian restaurant on the property where we had breakfast and lunch. Both meals were delicious. Definitely recommend the property if you are visiting Mt Rainier National park/Ashford. Bonus : We had ours but they have snow chains if you need one."
