You will go through Bajo Rodriguez, La Tigra, Chachauga and then finally to La Fortuna. We suggest that you use a GPS mapping and routing system. Also the WAZE App for your cell phone works very well. When you pick up your car, enter La Fortuna and select the police station as your destination in your GPS router. Go west out of La Fortuna entering El Castillo as your destination in your GPS router. Upon arriving in El Castillo turn left through the village proper and continue up the hill approximately 1km. DIRECTIONS TO EL CASTILLO FROM LA FORTUNA:
When you get to La Fortuna go west through the town and pass Tabacon on your right, then go a few more miles (about 4) until you see a tiny little police station on your right..you will take a left there onto a dirt road. Go 3 or 4 miles until you get to an intersection (T) where you must take a left or right. You will see a lot of signs directing you to different places in El Castillo. You will take a left. Go another few miles until you go over a small bridge and take your next right...at more signs. Keep going straight. You will pass the Sky Trek and continue to follow the road for a few miles, keep driving until you go over another small bridge. The first left after this bridge is the entrance to our village. Go through the village proper and then up the hill and you will pass the Serpentarium, then the Butterfly Conservatory (the house is approximately 600 meters from here)..continue going up and you will see Essence Arenal on the right. You will pass two streets on your right and then your house is the 6th house on the right. There are two stone pillars at the end of the drive holding a gate to the property.
