"The property sits among redwood trees and is beautiful and clean. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. It was quiet at night. The reason i am giving it a 4 rating is because the website lists a grill and picnic table under cabin accommodations. We expected them to be at our cabin. They are not. There is a grill for the cabins to share about 80 feet from our cabin. There was no picnic table by the grill so there was no place to put anything. "This hidden gem captures your heart before you even reach the property! As we were approaching the property we were in awe with the beauty of the forest. John was so friendly and made our stay so enjoyable. "Very clean. Great coin operated laundry. Adequate cookware and dishes. Host responded quickly and was able to accommodate us when we needed to extend our stay a day. Keurig needed maintenance so it was a little tricky making coffee. Unit was close to the plaza, a good thing for access to shops, grocery, but there a few sketchy folks nearby which made my teen a little uncomfortable. Also it would have been nice to have a broom available so we could clean up after ourselves."

"Great location. The cabin is next to some other cabins, not sure if they’re rentals, or other people who live on the property. So it wasn’t quite as private as I was anticipating. But over all it was a great place to stay for a few days. It might be a little tricky to find if you arrive after dark."

"Our stay was so fun! There was room for everyone and the house is quirky-cool and comfy. We loved walking around the neighbourhood. We saw goats! chickens! Red lizards! Friendly, fluffy doggos. Everything we needed for cooking was available. The beds are cozy and the shower on the bottom floor is the bee's knees. Best. Shower. Ever."

"Driveway in is a bit interesting. Nice oceanside cottage. There is no access directly to the ocean though. Several beaches very close by and central location for a lot of area attractions. Was a perfect home base for our family to explore the area. Bonus was watching the sea lions on the rocks out front- I recommend brining binoculars but once you spot them they are a lot of fun. "We enjoyed our stay at Jane’s Creek Cottage very much. It is beautifully decorated, very quiet at night and a short drive to the co op and Wildberries for groceries as well as to the Arcata Community Forest for a hike among the Redwoods.
