"Booked a stay here during my first and only trip to the holy pilgrimage town of Jagannath Puri in Odisha. Chose it mainly for proximity to beach and to the location of a large festival I was attending— this worked really well for me. Not sure how far it is from major sights, temples, and shopping, but I was able to get around fine by foot and in autos. "This retreat is lovely and once we got into the room we actually reserved and paid for, we really enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately I can’t say that the reception person was very friendly or welcoming. We reserved and paid for a “Deluxe Cottage with garden view”, but we were put in a 4th floor room in one of the tall buildings and we were told that the garden view was the view out of the windows, which was a view off of the grounds. I don’t know what the rate was for that room, but probably a lot...
