Weather the best, location great, unit needs refresh/maint., management the worst
Have been going to Kauai for years now and love it. We were happy to find this unit for our stay date. We swallowed hard + paid the price after looking at all the management add on fees. The payment check in process was smooth as was the arrival check in. Had a msg prior to arrival that electrical service work was being done at the resort during our stay + the power would be off for a large portion of a day so a day rental would be refunded which was fair. We went into the unit + we could see the unit needed a reno and basic maint. and thorough indepth cleaning. We could see spider webs in the corners of various windows/walls with dead insects. Bar stools at the kitchen island were very dirty+ stained+ in disrepair, dangerous to sit on. There were window blinds that were missing, other blinds were non-functional. the fridge, a replacement, white, was stained + looked terrible. In moving to the Lanai it was plain to see it had not been cleaned for months as the cobwebs, bird excrement was extreme. we spent the most of the first day trying to bring the unit to a level we could feel comfortable with after going out and buy cleaning products. we attempted to clean the lanai but the outside hose was in disrepair and not usable for the whole trip. We advised MGR VACASA and little was done even after their cleaner arrived. We have seen been ghosted by VACASA in our attempts for compensation for the poor cleaning/maint. of the unit. Stay away from anything mang. by VACASA!
