Sea Glass Shack 4 Bedroom Home in Southern Shores

Welcome to the Sea Glass Shack by KEES Vacations!

This new 4-Bedroom, 3-and-a-half bath home, with an additional sleeping option on the ground floor, is located in the desirable Southern Shores area of the Outer Banks. The beautiful decor, modern touches to this house (check out those lovely floors!) and the spaciousness will allow you to enjoy the best vacation ever! The beach is close by and by being in Southern Shores, you are close to great restaurants, shopping, and activities.

Guests at this home will be able to enjoy all of the amenities of the Southern Shores Civic Association. This includes access to all 33 beach access walkways and dune crossovers in Southern Shores. Also, this property is steps away from the intersection at Hillcrest Drive and a short 5-minute walk to the beach parking area which has 2 showers, toilets, a gazebo, benches and a viewing platform. Both the beach and viewing platform are wheelchair accessible. A volleyball court has been constructed at this site as well. Please also enjoy the Soundview Park on North Dogwood Trail which includes a children's playground, picnic tables, charcoal grill, bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, park benches, a kayak launching platform and a relaxing sandy beach. You will also be able to visit the Sunset Platform on North Dogwood Trail includes a seating area overlooking a sandy beach, a great spot for sunset viewings!

On the first level, there is a Full-size bedroom, Full Hall Bathroom, and a washer and dryer.

Step on up to the second level and you will find a King En Suite, a lovely kitchen area with an island, the Living Room, Dining Area, and Half Bathroom. The modern beachy feel of this home will provide complete relaxation for everyone.

Continue upstairs to the third level and find a Queen Bedroom, 2 Twin Bedrooms w/ 2 Trundles, and a Jack and Jill Full Bathroom. There is plenty of sleeping space and several options for where to sleep!

Enjoy the comfortable and welcoming furniture on the new expansive deck. Grab a book and your favorite beverage while you listen to the tranquility of the Outer Banks. You'll be nestled amongst the trees giving you a complete feeling of relaxation and a sense of privacy.

Spend the night hanging out in the backyard in the comfortable Adirondack chairs and firepit, a picnic table, and a charcoal grill for the grill master in the group. There is an extra covered picnic table to enjoy as well.

Rinse the beach or lotion off your body in the outdoor shower.

This property has 3 parking spots for guests.

Check-In begins at 4PM. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10AM.

Enjoyed our short visit
We enjoyed our short visit to the Sea Glass Shack. It was close to the beach and the town of Duck, which was nice. The house was clean and comfortable. The only draw backs were the busy street and that my request for someone to turn the heat on before our arrival late Christmas Day was ignored.

Fantastic
Look no further.Brand new with everything you could ever need. 2 blocks to beach. What we loved was being surrounded by trees! Yes the house is right on the main road but this was not not an issue as the house is set back quite a bit.Nice outdoor grill and fire pit.Very close to Duck and the sound foramazing sunsets. Having stayed in outer banks for over 30 years, this was absolutely the best experience yet. Great split up house where you ca find privacy and gather as well. The back porch is quiet, private, and so relaxing. We will be back.

What we did like the most is that the beach access is really to the house, now crossing the street can be difficult, but overall the location is great!

Attractive place, poor management
I think the listing for this place is pretty accurate and the location is good but not ideal. It's an easy walk to the beach once you cross the busy, noisy street and an easy bike ride to Duck on a nice path. The place itself is very attractive with a wonderful back porch. However, when we got there several things were broken, which I sent multiple texts about to the management company, and then eventually had to call on the third day we were there when the management company didn't respond to my many texts. That's the kind of work I take a vacation to get away from. Also, the first floor bedroom is problematic because it is tiny and has a full length glass door without a curtain. My daughter did not feel comfortable in it because there's no way to change without being in front of the door and anyone could come up to the door and watch her sleep at night. So she ended up on a mattress on the floor of our bedroom. I told the management company and hopefully they will install a curtain for the comfort of future guests. It's a fairly new rental so hopefully they will improve with time.

Nice house, we really enjoyed the covered deck for meals and relaxing! Plenty of space for our teenagers to have some privacy! However, the house is off of a very busy road, and the constant traffic was loud. We were anticipating a more peaceful location based on the pictures and description.

Enjoyed
The Sea Glass Shack was a great place to stay. Plenty of room for our family. We wasn't on top of each other and enough space to spread out when needed. The location was great, not far from the beach, which was wonderful. Overall our stay was great.
