We stayed at the Residence & Conference Centre for four days, using it as a launch point to explore southern Ontario. Keep in mind, you’re booking a dorm-style room—it’s a bit rough around the edges. There was a musty smell when we first walked in, though we eventually went nose-blind. The A/C felt a little underpowered, but I travel with a fan, so I was comfortable.
That said, you get a two-bedroom suite with a private bathroom and a kitchenette. Since we had our own camping gear, we were set up for cooking, which worked out well. The beds were okay, the bedding was clean, and the area felt safe. It’s conveniently close to Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, and the highway.
For a longer stay like ours, it offered great value. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the on-site laundry was a bonus. The laundry card system might be a bit tricky for some, but if you run into trouble, just ask the staff—they’re happy to help.
