Welcome to The Great Escape, your ultimate dog-friendly retreat nestled in the heart of Kings Beach. This charming vacation rental offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and pet-friendly amenities, ensuring a memorable getaway for you and your furry companion.

The living area will be your go-to winter hangout spot, with its nap-worthy couches, a gas fireplace for apres ski lounging and a 55-inch flat-screen TV. Watch favorite shows via Apple TV. In summertime, the second-level deck is the place to be! Plush outdoor furniture and a gas grill face your wooded and serene Tahoe setting. Back inside, the kitchen features modern stainless appliances, including a gas range and a dishwasher. Take a seat at the center island and sip wine while the cook gets to work. A rustic eight-person table adjacent to the kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy dinner together! With added bonus: Air conditioning!

The home features an open concept upper floor between the kitchen, dining room, and living room area with a walk out back deck. Also on the upper floor is the primary king ensuite with a sofa sleeper for additional guests. Downstairs includes a queen bedroom and two full beds in the third bedroom, laundry area, hall bathroom, and access to the two car garage.

Ski, beach, shopping and dining are ultra-convenient at this North Lake Tahoe chalet! You're a six-block walk to dog-friendly Kings Beach State Park - voted Tahoe's best beach - and an easy hop to the ski slopes. Try your slopes skills at nearby Northstar, Alpine Meadow, Palisades Tahoe, Diamond Peak, and Mount Rose! Kids will love the Tahoe Vista Regional Park (within walking/biking distance of the chalet) for its Frisbee Golf, tennis courts, ball fields, and winter snowmobile rentals.

Maximum number of dogs allowed is 2, additional fees apply per dog.

Location:
Venture out to the local ski spots like Northstar (7 miles away) and Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows (15 miles away). On a summer day, you will be only a few minutes from beautiful lake beaches.

Parking:
Parking is available for 4 cars total. 2 in garage and 2 in driveway. All cars must park in the garage or on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 8 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.

Lovely Cabin in Kings Beach
The stay was great, beds comfy, water hot and location was prime! When we got there we did notice a lot of black dog hair on the ground maybe from previous guests but other than that everything was great!

Nice getaway in North Tahoe
The property was clean and very accommodating. There is a bbq on the deck which was nice. Master bedroom was spacious. I like that there was a garage to park our vehicle. Instructions were entry to property was easy to follow. Bring your own games, puzzles, cards or books. The only night time entertainment was the TV, which was fine. Thank you for sharing your property.

Perfect home for a family!
Beautiful home and a very short walk to the beach. It was nice that the home was well-stocked with any cooking utensils/pans needed to make meals at home as well. Beds were all comfortable as well. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you!

Excellent Location
Upon a 4 pm arrival the house had not been fully cleaned and we did not get the house to ourselves until after 4:30. The house cleaner wasn’t going to wash the floors and I said yes she would. She also stated she didn’t do stairs due to fear! The fold out couch bed had dirt on the mattress and the housekeeper did not know if the sheets had been changed. The remainder of the house was clean. There are basic maintenance issues that were not addressed upon our arrival. The master shower door was off its track (the guide broken). The housekeeper had said maintenance was aware of the problem. She showed me the broken parts in the drawer. I called the manager because of how dangerous the glass door was along with a video And was told it would not be repaired until we checked out almost a week later and to use it with caution. To my surprise I came home alone on Thursday afternoon to a man in the drive who laughed and said he was a day early (mixed up his day)to repair the shower!! I was alone and said he needed to come back on Friday when we checked out in the morning. Had I come home later this man would have been in my house unknowingly and I had cash on the bedside table!!! Other issues in the house were a slow draining sink in the master, one light bulb working in garage and one door opener that worked. We chipped out half of the 3 inch ice on the drive because it was dangerous and cars could easily slide into the garage door. We always leave homes in wonderful shape with a load drying and another in the washer, dishes washed etc. The house is great, there just needs to be attention to detail at the price I was paying. The management said they would give me a small refund for my trouble. Getting ahold of management requires going through a que of questions before they answer. It is not a direct line to someone.

Exactly as pictured, great location
My family and I had a fantastic week at this cabin. It's clean, bright, modern, and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need, including good knives and pans. Safeway is a 3-minute drive and the lake is a 10 minute walk. Hiked out the door to the Stateline lookout one day. Excited to come back!

Great Tahoe spot
Great place to stay in North Tahoe. Clean house with lots of amenities. Kitchen was very well stocked. We had a mix of dining out as well as cooking at the cabin. The house is a 10 min walk from Kings Beach and any food/restaurants that are there. Plenty of couch space and blankets as well as a box of games. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for walkabouts.

Good house, good location.
It is very unusual to give good review for the very bad trip, but it is exactly this rare situation. We planned to stay for 3 days and do kayaking/paddleboarding at Tahoe - in reality we has canceled all activities and stayed just one night. House was very good, spacious and comfortable. Location was great. House was as clean as possible for dog friendly house - it was some dog hair on the stairs and in the master bedroom, but as a dog owner I do understand that it is almost impossible to remove it completely from a house where dogs stayed on a regular basis. Our problem was World Worsest Air (officially) exactly in a day when we came- sudden change of wind brought smoke from the wildfire and made it absolutely unbearable and unbreathable. But this was definitely not about property quality. 🙂

Great family-friendly Cabin
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and well appointed. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of linens, kitchen supplies and the overall construction of the cabin. I would definitely recommend the property to friends and family. The only mild-negative was the junk-yard house on the corner of Deer and Cuthroat. We avoided that part of the street.

A little disappointed
Minor things that can be improved is one pillows were very uncomfortable which is not a huge thing, but we did lose sleep. The bigger issue was we drove 4 hours and got there a little early and was not able to check in until a hour later. Overall not a bad place. My wife and I enjoyed it.

Quiet, close and easy.
easy walk to everything , quiet and relaxing though neighborhood of king beach is a mixed use area. Property was in good shape , great to have a nice deck and full size garage. Everything worked as expected. Could use a little cleaning around area rugs and couches. Experience with turnkey was excellent.

Great stay in Kings Beach
Property was as advertised. Cute beach Chalet, walking distance from beach. The HVAC was the only thing that was a bit off. Advertised as not having AC we were surprised to feel cold air coming through the vents. Tstat's did not seem to do much in regulating a desired temp. But the weather was great and we opened doors to control the temps as best we could. We would definitely stay here again. But next time , Jiffy's pizza (in incline village) is on our list to try as it was recommended by most.

Beautiful & Cozy
We had an amazing time here. The home was clean when we arrived early January and it was warm even without the heater on. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable we've ever slept in and would love it if you could please reach out to us regarding the brand of the mattress! Thank you so much for letting us stay in this beautiful house and it was a 2 minute drive to the lake which was so convenient!

This property needs a new cleaning service
Property was beautiful except the dog hair found everywhere in the couches under dining room table and carpets old and dirty and stained. I even found a persons visiting pass dated 2015 under the bed and a dirty Bennie in the couch . This place needs a thorough cleaning bad whomever is cleaning it is ripping you off and I have pictures.

Family Vacation and 60th Birthday Celebration
The only thing is we had trouble turning on Fireplace! Loved the comfortable open space of the upstairs, really loved the art quotes throughout the house too! Can't wait to book again next year possibly in the Springtime and maybe closer to main Casinos. But really enjoyed the small quaint small town and family loved Kings Beach. Thank you.
