"This property is a dump!! When we arrived it had not been cleaned from the previous rental. It is in a run down neighborhood in a run down building with many steps from the street to the unit. The bathroom was in poor condition aside from the cleanliness issue. Find something else, you have been warned!!"

"This place is for people who love peace and quiet and privacy, we do. Noise from the road is almost minimal, perhaps if you sit in the front garden but we spent all time in the back garden watching sunrises, ships passing by, listening to bird songs early morning, fishing from the private beach. "A spacious, fully equipped, excellently located home. We had such an incredible holiday, including visits to Argyle Coffee, Mount Stuart, Steam boat Waverley, Colintraive and Portavadia. "Don't be put off any the tired exterior of Grove House. The apartment is well presented, well equipped though you must be prepared to climb 38 steps to get to this attic location. The upside is breathtaking views of the sea. Low star for communication is that although owner lives in ground floor there is no attempt to make personal contact. Odd."

Easy access to the Ferries to Bute/ Tarbert and Dunoon ..Andrew , our host was very helpful and made our stay memorable.We used a wheelchair and his concrete ramp was ideal for entering and leaving this spacious property. Would recommend this quiet location overlooking loch Riddon. "

"The Glenburn has seen better days. The decor is a bit tired and in need of refurb as as the bathrooms. But. it's clean, tidy, food was good, staff were terrific. So as budget stays go, it's hard to beat. The building itself looks like a 5 star hotel in images but that's not the case internally anymore. Wouldn't take much to transform the place, but i guess the investment vs return just isn't there anymore - which is a shame."
