"Love Aviemore so booked the Spey valley lodges. The lodges are starting to look quite run down, especially the outside with peeling paint. The inside is a little dated but was clean enough. One of the single beds had no bottom sheet on it and a dead spider lying between blanket.Obviously this bed was not made up fresh. "The peace & quiet here was amazing! Other guests were respectful & the only noise in the morning was the ducks looking for food. Our lodge was dated but comfortable. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay. So in summary the accommodation is not luxurious but the location & setting are wonderful if it’s a quiet break you are looking for. The host was very responsive to the various questions we had and always very kind. All in all, we'd be very glad to come back there if we have another opportunity."

"This is a nice, spacious property in a good location in Aviemore and we had a very comfortable stay. The only problem we had was that the property wasn't cleaned for us on arrival and still had dirty bed linen etc from the previous guests. There seemed to have been a miscommunication with the cleaners but after calling Gary, he managed to get it resolved for us asap, which was much appreciated."

"There were clear instructions from the host, and we found all the beds made with plenty of pillows, towels etc. The caravan quickly warms up when the heating is on and seemed better insulated than some. There were plenty of plates and cutlery, a good sized fridge for a mobile home, and small libraries of books and DVDs. We knew that the wi-fi was unlikely to work, although the park did have its own system for a modest daily charge, and the 4G mobile network locally is good. The children...

"The house is absolutely lovely, and very well stocked. For a family group of 6 from the US, ranging in age from 6 to 80, we had everything we need to cook for a few nights. Great spices, olive oil, vinegar -- even coffee, tea, and a bottle of wine. The stay was delightful, and Nethy Bridge is a darling town!!"

"Nice and clean place with a lake nearby. Staff was very accommodating even before we checked-in. We stayed in a room good for 3 people and it was cramped. The beds squeeked a lot too. "This hotel needs renovation and a more pleasant staff. They were treating us rudely all over our stay, since check-in, when they refused to provide 2 keys for the room, even we were 4 people in the room! Sounded like all employees were in a hurry to finish their jobs instead of creating a good experience for customers. Rooms need serious renovation, the carpet is covered by dust when you look under tables and behind the beds."

"This hotel needs renovation and a more pleasant staff. They were treating us rudely all over our stay, since check-in, when they refused to provide 2 keys for the room, even we were 4 people in the room!
