A quiet - peaceful place for families to enjoy.
Also a great place for a couples retreat/romantic getaway. Peaceful place for writers and or artists that need tranquility. NOTE: Please inquire about the couples only rates. (Discount rates will be available for a party of 1 or 2)ā€¦. Beaches are a short drive, approximately 10 minutesšŸ˜Ž
Get away from the city and reconnect with nature. Central AC makes your stay very comfortable!
The cabin is surrounded by Water Company and State Forest land. Lots of birds, squirrels, owls and deer.
The fully equipped kitchen will make creating your own meals a breeze.
Hiking trails are located next to the cabin. RELAX at the cabin or hit the road to visit many local attractions. The cabin is a true log home construction with an open floor plan. Beautiful native stone fireplace. Peaceful open space areas surrounded by forest with many flower gardens to admire. Relax on the front porch with a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and listen to the sounds of nature.
Enjoy making memories by the fire pit telling campfire stories, reading a book or, making sā€™mores and roasting hotdogs. A pizza oven and gas grill are available as well. The cabin is a short drive to the shoreline where you can enjoy Hammonasset Beach State Park and all of the great beaches as well as awesome seafood restaurantā€™s and local breweries.. Chatfield Hollow State Park is a shorter drive and a great place to hike, fish, cookout and enjoy the lake. And for the professional shoppers, Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets is a short drive as well. Try your luck at Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Casino, less than an hour drive. New Haven- the ā€œPizza Capitalā€ is less than an hourā€™s drive and you can tell your friends and family that youā€™ve tried the best pizza in the USA!

We had such a wonderful stay at this charming little cabin! Every detail was thoughtfully consideredā€”from the clearly labeled light switches to the well-organized amenities, the host made sure we never had to second-guess where anything was. It truly made us feel right at home.One of our favorite features was the stunning fire pit area. The host went above and beyond by providing everything we needed to build a fire safely and easilyā€”kindling, wood, fire starting logs and a lighterā€”so we could just relax and enjoy the moment.Every corner of the cabin seemed to quietly say ā€œWelcome.ā€ It was warm, inviting, and full of heart. Honestly, I could see myself living thereā€”it was that comfortable and well-loved.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with all the right touches!

The perfect cabin in the woods

This is a beautiful log cabin nestled in the woods at the end of a dead-end road. The hosts have literally thought of everything needed for a restful vacation. Thereā€™s a fire pit and pizza oven outside and plenty of games (including air hockey) inside. It is close to all of the shops, museums and beaches in the area.

Fully equipped glam cabin

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and fully equipped with everything and anything needed. What an awesome family escape from the hustle and bustle of a fast paced life. Spend some quality time with your family telling ghost stories at the fire pit, playing board games, and taking hikes in the woods. Then cuddle up on the comfy couch, share your experiences in the cabin log and watch a movie together. I highly recommend this cabin!

Perfect getaway for relaxing in nature

This rustic cabin was a perfect weekend getaway to reconnect with family & friends, surrounded by chirping birds and lush nature. Both inside and out, the cabin and grounds are well cared for and lovingly maintained. Very clean, incredibly charming, and thoughtfully prepared for guests... from a bouquet of fresh flowers, comfy blankets in all sitting areas, and a firepit prepped with kindling & fire wood! Would highly recommend if you are looking to submurse yourself in nature for a relaxing getaway from the grind!

Cabin in the Woods

It is certainly a cabin in the quiet woods which you would normally find in northern Vermont. We loved everything about it. My Three Sons grew up tent camping in the Yale Forest and this was that, only with a log cabin replacing Eureka tents! We loved sitting around the massive firepit and feeding the flames with plenty of seasoned, dry hardwood, cooking several meals on the coals with pie irons and steak prongs. Just loved it.

Hallmark Christmas

We were in awe of how cool this cabin is, everyone kept saying, ā€œ Itā€™s like a Hallmark Christmas movieā€. It couldnā€™t have been more perfect for our family. The 8yr old twin boys loved the air hockey table and it was great having that space upstairs for them to enjoy movies and games too. We had a great Christmas dinner and had all the amenities, perfect amount of seating. We tried sā€™mores at the fire pit, but made them quickly and ran in because it was 15 but we still got in another great memory. We got a little skiff of snow, enough for a tiny snowman. Thank you Gardner for your accommodation and quick responses.

Great Getaway for Family

This property is beautiful and has everything you can possibly need. Owner is extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about the surrounding restaurants and attractions. We would definitely return for another stay. The kids enjoyed the trails and open space.

Our Very Short But Quiet Retreat

Absolutely warm, welcoming and cozy. Although we only booked it for one night, all of us in our party wished we would've booked the remaining part of our trip in this cute cabin. Matter of fact, my brother-in-law suggested I request an extension. Sadly due to our other commitment as our east coast adventure continued, that option was not possible. If I ever plan on returning to this area, this would be by far my first choice. My only suggestion would be to make the address more visible at night when it's dark. We accidently pulled into the neighbors property. But we immediately found this wonderful cabin. Thank you Gardner for allowing us to stay in your cabin. Blessings! Donna
