A Serene Getaway in the Woods
If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, this cabin in the woods is an absolute gem. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the setting is incredibly tranquil, offering the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The cabin itself is impeccably clean and beautifully appointed, exuding both charm and comfort. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to make your stay special. From cozy furnishings to tasteful decor, it truly feels like a home away from home. One of the standout features is the Jacuzzi. Whether you’re soaking in the warm bubbles under a starlit sky or unwinding after a long day of exploring, it’s pure bliss. Additionally, the cabin comes with plenty of modern amenities, making it a great balance of rustic and luxurious. The thoughtful touches made our stay even more memorable. Complementary snacks were waiting for us upon arrival—a delightful treat that instantly made us feel welcome. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen, comfy bedding, and a spacious outdoor area perfect for sipping coffee or enjoying nature. If you're seeking a quiet retreat with all the comforts of home and then some, this cabin is a must-visit. We left feeling rejuvenated and can’t wait to return!

What a peaceful treat!
We come to Mohican every year to relax for a few days, do some hiking, bask in the peace, and hit that big red reset button. This was our first time at Ethan’s Retreat, but will hopefully not be the last! Being able to include our fur-babe in our trip was the cherry on top of this phenomenal stay. Clean, quiet, adorable, and so comfy! Would love to stay in the winter. I bet it’s like a wonderland!

So Cozy!!!
This cabin is cute, clean, well-stocked, and 100% pet friendly. Both my partner and I enjoyed the cabin thoroughly, but I think our dogs liked it even more! I would highly recommend this place and I hope to come stay again!

Relaxing
Ethans Retreat is very comfortable and a great place to relax. It is off the beaten path and the view of nature is beautiful. Very nice new hot tub and great fireplace! We had a great time!

Sisters getaway
We were looking for something "in nature". This property did not disappoint. It was so peaceful, felt like a treehouse as when you are on the back balcony you are up in the trees. The walking paths were a little too rustic for my liking but was great for sister #3. She even took 3 chairs and a small table down the outdoor steps to one of the paths and made a cute breakfast spot to have our morning coffee in the woods. Super quiet at night, no issues at all. We didn't heed the warnings on the GPS instructions so we ended up down a bunch of secluded one lane dirt roads on the way, but heading home was a breeze. We heard if you do GOOGLE MAPS, they will only take you through main roads, none of those off road dirt roads, so take note! We headed to Berlin to do some shopping one of the days, was about a 30 min drive from the cabin. The hot tub was very relaxing! Great stay!

Amazing
We came up for my nieces wedding. She got married at the Moachian tree house. The house was so nice and peaceful. I enjoyed listening to all the sounds of nature. The hot tub was amazing especially the night we got there after driving for 8 hours it was nice to unwind in the hot tub.

Mom/daughter getaway
The cabin is just as described. The host do a nice job of accommodating their guest. The snacks, farm fresh eggs, cold drinks, dog treats, toys, leashes, etc. are a welcoming touch. The beds are very comfortable, too. This trip was for my mom and I, so I very much appreciated the host offering to start a camp fire for us. It's a very quiet location. You truly unwind from the electronic world-- there is NO CELL reception!! Directions can be a little tricky to find their location. However, I found if you put in the address of the winery they mention (in their directions) it makes it much easier to find them from any location. The winery is very close to the entrance drive (dirt road) that leads the 1.25 miles straight back to the cabin. Overall, I would happily recommend them as a lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature. To the host, thank you for all you do to make your guest feel welcomed, comfortable, and relaxed!!

Indeed a Retreat!
The house was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. The trails around the house were fun and gave us a nice, gentle workout as we went up and down hills. Very well tended trails. The house itself was cozy. We couldn't figure out how to get the fireplace going (the first night was chilly in Ohio) but it wasn't necessary. The hot tub was a fantastic relief from the long drive up from Georgia. There were even amenities for our dogs: a tray for bowls and a few treats. Treats for the humans on the kitchen table also, a nice touch. We stay in houses and cabins whenever possible and this ranks among the best kept we've rented. (Keep an eye out for Amish, who are plenty in this area. They use horse and buggies and electric bicycles to get around so be aware, careful and respectful of them.) Highly recommend this cabin for anyone that wants to retreat down dirt paths into the woods for some natural beauty!

Relaxing getaway
We needed a weekend away from the stress of life to just reset. I have never been to Amish country but we also wanted a quiet place to stay. Ethan's Retreat was the perfect location for us. We were able to visit some Amish locations which are about 25 minute drive away. Hot tub was perfect after a day of walking around. We plan to visit again soon. Thank you.
