"The house itself is lovely, the room was very comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were accommodating when we had some delays checking in and out. The shower was the only downside--it was very hard to get the water to turn on and the water pressure was weak."

The overall air is casual, the staff are friendly and chatty, and nothing is too much trouble. The whole interior looks fairly recently updated, but it's left with enough older features to retain some character. The rooms are all named after Scottish islands, and we stayed in Skye.
