Dog friendly Sparrow Pond Cottage

1041 Sparrow Pond cottage is a favorite vacation spot on Kiawah. Outfitted with all new furnishings throughout in November 2019, as well as new floors and newly painted exterior. Stay connected with free wifi. This cottage is ideal for families.

We will allow a dog with up to $200 damage deposit able to be charged up to 2 weeks after your vacation.

All Sparrow Pond Cottages are situated in West Beach Village, and in close proximity to many of Kiawah’s most treasured sights and activities. They are stand alone cottages.

Perfect Kiawah house!!
Not only was our stay amazing but the property manager was so helpful and accommodating! We fled from hurricane Helene and found this to be a home away from home. We have been staying in Kiawah for over a decade and this is our favorite spot!!

My family had a great time in Kiawah with this rental property being very clean, a short walk to the beach, and pet friendly. The little things like the hose to wash off our beach gear in the carport and outdoor shower to wash off the sand before going inside was a great perk of this property. We also enjoyed the outdoor screened in porch and quiet neighborhood. The only thing that could have made this stay even better would have been if the bed linens were a little softer, especially after a day in the sun. Overall, a great stay and we will be back! Highly recommend!

Perfect family week long getaway stay!
Highly recommend this property for a family getaway! We had two adults and an infant and still had space. Pros - a king bed, a queen, a bunk room which had plenty of space for the pack and play we brought - about a 6 min walk to the beach boardwalk.. maybe 8 min total each way to the sand. This alone is the huge reason to stay here. We went back and forth to the condo for nap times and it was so easy along the bike path! - 2 min walk to the pool, right across the street - quiet secluded area that was perfect for morning and evening walks. We walked to Cougar Point for happy hour, quick drive to Harris Teeter, easy to get anywhere. - Front porch and back screened in porches were ideal for coffee, wine, and grilling. We enjoyed having a gas grill available - in unit laundry .. full size plus drying racks - small starter pack of kitchen paper towel roll, dish soap, TP roll, soaps; towels and linens included. Make sure to bring your own laundry detergent. - Susie was very communicative and easy to get in touch with. - wifi and tv worked well for mornings - large dining table for evenings The only cons were having to bring all of our own beach chairs, beach towels, etc and a somewhat small kitchen but we spent most of our time outside so it didn’t really matter. We would definitely recommend this property and stay here again next year.

beautiful setting - close to beach. Not the fanciest of accommodations- but still very nice. Kitchen could use a bit of updates-( disappointing to have no can opener) Overall a great rental!

Perfect for our 2 week getaway!
This was our first time to come in February and bring our dog. The condo was very clean and in a great location! For being a dog-friendly condo it was really nice. Right by my favorite bike trail and close to the beach. The condo has what you’d need to cook on the grill or in the kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Loved sitting on the private deck on sunny afternoons. Thank you for a great trip!!

Sparrow Cottage
The location of property was great, and the owner was very responsive, and quick to take care of a minor problem. But the place was not clean, the dishes were dirty and had to run them through the dishwasher before we used them. You could tell there were nose prints and hand prints all over the sliding glass doors. The out door furniture was very dirty, we had to clean that off before we used them. Also the one bathroom had hair in the tub. Its not the owners fault because she is relying on a trust worthy person ti keep the rental clean, just take Lysol wipes with you and Lysol spray and check out the dishes before you use them!

Lovely location
We really enjoyed our stay here! The property manager was very responsive. I asked a question and pantry supplies and was told nothing was provided… and I mean nothing. Be prepared to pack up your spices, baking supplies, salt/pepper. That is my only criticism. Was inconvenient cooking but luckily I knew that ahead of time because I asked. Also, bring your own hand soap for bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Location was great and it’s a cute little space for one family.

Amazing vacation
We loved our stay at the cottage. The cottage is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the beach. I recommend this cottage as it is also dog friendly and in great condition. I would also like to thank the property manager Susie Oringel, she was quick to respond to questions.

Amazing vacation
Beautiful beach house, close to the beach and the pool. The bunk beds were a bit for the kids. Kitchen small but worked for us. Oven needed to be cleaned, seems grease or something was spilled in the oven so any time we used it the smoke detector would alarm. I relayed that to the property manager so hopefully that is resolved. The grill worked great and the porch was perfect. We would definitely rent this property again!

Nice place & dog friendly
Great location only a few minutes to the beach via path. Safe & pleasant with a nice canopy of trees in the neighborhood. House has a small kitchen, washer/dryer, outdoor gas grill, a few beach chairs, and a little pull cart. No free bikes at this house but they are easily acquired from local rental services.

Great Cottage
This cottage exceeded our expectations. It was clean, well stocked, and everything worked great. We have been coming to Kiawah as a family for 8 years now and for the price this was the best value. We knew about the cottages, but never stayed in one before. They are in a really great location and the area of the beach you are at is perfect. Would def. recommend.

Spacious, private cottage in a quiet area of Kiawah island
My husband and I (accompanied by our polite 5-lbs Yorkie terrier) stayed at Susie's place for two weeks at the end of April-beginning of March 2021. The spacious (3 bedrooms) private cottage is located in a quiet area of Kiawah island called West Beach. It is very strategically located, close to the entrance to the island and the shopping mall, yet very private and secluded at the same time. The cottage had a great deck, both open and covered for sitting and enjoying, and a fully equipped kitchen with a brand-new set of pots and pans to use. It had plenty of towels, beach chairs, and many everyday necessities like laundry detergent, etc. The host was very attentive to our needs and answered both emails and texts very quickly. Sign in and out were a breeze. We really enjoyed our relaxing vacation and will be back! Thank you, Susie!
