ROBINSON CRUSOE COTTAGE - Quaint poolside cottage on Margaret St

Robinson Crusoe Cottage is a one-bedroom cottage with a queen bed, sleeper sofa, kitchen, and private bath. The queen bed and sleeper sofa sleep 2 each for a maximum capacity of 4 people.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. A lovely back deck has a dining table and chairs and there is a shared heated pool and deck.

Located in the Heart of Old Town, most things are in reasonable walking distance. There is no assigned parking. Free street parking only.

Great Location, but cottage needs some repairs/work done to it.
Location is great, a few blocks from Duval Street and everything else. Cottage definitely needs some repairs, window in living room was rotted and falling out (called management, supposed to send someone out, didn't see them). Window in bathroom rotting. The whole house smells very musty, to the point, we stayed outside alot. There was a dehumidifier that worked well, since we had to empty it every day. The pool was very nice to have, but a lot of tree debris in it.

Enjoyed our stay
This unit was just what we were looking for. Quiet and private yet walkable to Duval, Higgs beach, a local market which had everything we needed when we wanted to eat in. The pool was wonderful to splash in after a busy day. The owner was very responsive to any requests. We enjoyed nearby local eateries as well!

Very convenient and on a not so busy side street in a nice neighborhood
Loved the little courtyard with the swimming pool and including the locked gate to the property. House was great for 2 people. Convenient to cvs, and grocery . Would definitely stay here again next time I visit key west.

This was a wonderful little property tucked away in Key West. It's in a great location for walking to everything, newly renovated and clean. Great little personal Oasis in the backyard with the pool. We would definitely stay here again.

This cottage and the little collection of cottages was delightful! It was great to have the separate bedroom and kitchen/living space. Great accommodations for just 2 people or a cute spot for some friends to sneak away for a weekend.

We really enjoyed staying here. The furniture has been upgraded from the photos and it has access to a really nice pool. Everything was clean and we were lucky to find parking right out front. Location can’t be beat. It’s close to Duval but still in a quiet area.

2023 Summer Vacation
My girls and I had a wonderful time in Key West! We have been wanting to visit for years and finally made the trip this year. The Robinson Crusoe Cottage was very quaint and we loved having a private pool. The other guests we met were very nice and the home and environment felt very safe for us. The home is laid out with an open feeling and environment - it made our stay very comfortable. The location is a convenient walking to Duvall street and many eating and shopping places. Parking was never an issue and the town was easy to navigate around in. I would recommend the Robinson Crusoe Cottage as a definite must stay when visiting Key West. Thank you so much for sharing your home with our family!

Perfect Cottage Atmosphere
We loved staying here, the property has the Key West feel like no others we have stayed at in the past! And the added bonus of having the pool at our door was amazing after a long day in the sun.

Good location
The location was great. We rented bikes for the week and everything was a short bike ride away - which we preferred. The cottage was okay, perfect size for 2 of us. The other 2 cottages on the property were vacant during our stay, so we had the shared pool to ourselves - which was nice! Our only complaints were: 1) the floors were not clean - my husband took off his shoes and after 10 minutes of walking around inside the cottage, his feet were noticeably dirty. Not a deal breaker - we just wore flip flops inside. 2) There was an overwhelming musty smell that we noticed immediately when we opened the door. There was a dehumidifier running in the cottage, but everything still felt damp/wet - the towels, the couch, the bedding, and all of our clean clothes that we hung up in the closet. Unfortunately, I had to wash our clothes twice upon returning home to get the odor out of our clothing, and our suitcases are still airing out. Overall, we enjoyed Key West - how could you not?! We didn't spend a lot of time hanging out in the cottage so the issues I listed above were tolerable as we were there to get out, explore and enjoy all Key West has to offer, which we did!

Great Getaway
This is super cute little place. It is in a good location for everything and we rented bikes and that made it really easy to get around. It was all we needed to get far from cold weather. They gave us many ideas on what to do. Overall very happy! As a side note if you have never been to Key West prepare for roosters crowing.

Cute tiny house/cottage atmosphere
Adorable cottage with a heated pool. Nice deck area for drinking coffee in the morning. The pool is shared with two other cottages, however we rarely saw our neighbors. Quiet neighborhood area. The mattress needs to be replaced. I had read this in other reviews and had hoped it had been replaced by now. Perhaps it just needs more support in the middle. Bring earplugs for the rooster that starts at 4:45am every morning. Overall, cute place.

Property was great, but the staff was even better. Very helpful with arranging reservations prior to arriving, making suggestions for dinner, holding luggage....... Great experience all the way around !!
