"Upon check-in we found the property to be spotless. It appears to be well maintained and had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was great.The water around the dock is very shallow, which makes it a good spot to wade or swim....but not for fishing. We did not realize until we arrived that the entire lake is pretty shallow (about 20 feet maximum depth). It has a reputation as a great fishing lake, but you really need a boat to do any serious fishing.Lakeside Park in town is a...

"The home was in a quiet/safe location, extremely clean and comfortable. We loved sipping coffee on the front porch in the morning and our kids enjoyed the toys/games provided. We were so thankful for the plentiful stock of bath towels- as a family of six, coming straight from a sporting event on day one and hiking on day two- we certainly utilized the shower. "We stayed for a long weekend in July. The beach was expansive, and the cottage was the perfect size for our small family of four. "

"The house layout was good for having friends with you, lots of places to sit in the kitchen or living room. Rooms themselves were plenty big for what we needed but had to open the vents to cool the rooms (not a big deal). Kitchen was well stocked with things to make food. House was very clean."

"Water frontage was great. Kids had a blast on the water. Paddle boat was so much fun and the kayak, fire pit, fireplace and the little beach area were great, huge private lot with deer, turtles and abundant wildlife and the sandbar in the middle of the lake was fantastic. "Our family loved staying here! The highlight was beach access. Although it wasn't right on the beach, access was only a couple of minutes away walking to the end of the street and down a very short public path. Couldn't have asked for a better beach to hang out at throughout the stay. The rental had a homey-vibe, but was very well kept and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive before and during the trip."

"The location was perfect for our family trip over July 4th weekend! Walking distance to beautiful Lake Michigan beach, fireworks, ice cream, food trucks. Short drive to cute pier with shops and restaurants. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a family of 4. The stairs are definitely tricky but typical for an older home.
