There was a musty smell when we first entered the home, but it dissipated once the windows were opened. Additionally, we did not see the caretaker of the farm, but he was readily available whenever we reached out to him. "What a wonderful stop. I wish we had more time there, but we only stayed one night on our way between Portland/St Helens and Rainier. The house is secluded, as shown in the listing. The balcony overlooks a gorgeous forested valley and we enjoyed just sitting out there and listening to the birds both in the evening and in the morning. Very nicely decorated interiors and has everything that you may need for the comfortable stay and cooking. The owners were so awesome and have the cutest for babies! We will come back!"
