One of a Kind-Get Away/Big Cypress Bayou Near Jefferson&Caddo

One of a kind retreat for small families, a romantic get away for two, or fishing/hunting lodge.

This property is built over Big Cypress Bayou river which is 3.3 miles from CADDO Lake, 10 minutes from Historic Jefferson, 20 minutes from old money oil town of Marshall, AND 30 minutes from the wide awake Casino town of Shreveport, LA.

The River House is on a private road which lends to peace and tranquility. Great access to the river for amazing water skiing, jet skiing, and boating awaits. If you're not into water sports, fish all day right off the covered deck. If you have a boat, there is a ramp within 100 yards of the house, and lots of great little fishing holes along the river and back into the cypress forest.

The River House has an outdoor grill. A bonfire is always fun in the cooler months, so sit back relax and enjoy the blaze in the fire pit steps from the house.

The River house is within 10 miles by boat or car to 8,000 acres of public hunting land: deer, squirrel, hog, duck, turkey, and alligator to name a few. You must have a TX hunting license and Type 2 permit. Also, be prepared to follow all TX game and wildlife laws for Marion and Harrison County.

We promise you will not be disappointed with the discovery of this off the beaten path cabin of solitude and good times!

Big cypress bayou
Good nice cabin. Loved the view of the water but deck area and boat house is in need of major repair. Had a flood earlier this year (7 months ago) and stairs leading to boat dock fell down or collapsed while trying to go up them. Couldn’t use boat dock after 1st day there. No other way to get to boathouse so I had to launch boat daily. Cabin needs leveled badly but the cabin is very nice! Thanks

Enjoyable stay
Overall, I really enjoyed this property and will be back. I was a little disappointed in two things. First, it wasnt super clean. It was clean enough, not to throw a fit over, but the fans, air intakes, and ceiling had weeks of gathered dust. For me thats not an issue. However, I brought my epically over-clean mother and she notices every little thing. Second, the stairs to the river landing were torn up and it was unaccessible. We were given alternative fighing methods though, and that was beyond satisfactory. Coach was great. I dont talk much, but listening to his stories was fun. We wanted a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend and thats exactly what we got. If that's what you're looking doe, this is the place.

First time near Caddo!
We always wanted to visit the Caddo Lake area, but really didn't know what to expect. This getaway on the bayou was a very pleasant surprise for us and had beautiful scenery! It was also a bonus to meet Coach, who was a great host and right across the road in case we needed anything!

It was perfect spot to stay to meet up with my photography group. Communication with owner and property manager was a Breeze. Great location on Big Cypress Bayou.

Fabulous getaway
The property is exactly as described. The scenery is beautiful. Such a quiet calming atmosphere. The Manager was on point. He checked in and provided everything needed. Unfortunately, the fish didn’t cooperate but we will be back to enjoy again.

Best weekend ever!!!
I cannot say enough amazing things about this amazing place!!!! We definitely did not want to leave that patio!! We spent more time out there than we did inside the house just enjoying the peace and quiet and nature. Thank you so much for letting us stay, we for sure will be back!!!!

Quiet stay
The property is pretty close to advertised. We enjoyed the stay on the water, fished from the deck. The lower deck was not accessable which was disappointing so we could fish closer to the water. Would rent again.

Private Getaway
Tucked away on the river, this cozy cabin offers a private retreat surrounded by nature. The king size bed is extremely comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need, the water pressure is fantastic, and lots of space on the patio for lounging or fishing. A cute little kitty cat would come by and say hi. Coach was extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Highly recommend!

Great property if you want to get away where you can fish off elevated back porch and be close to all Caddo Lake adventures. Host Randy, was very accommodating and super responsive. Coach was great and gave us some good advice on fishing and the area.
