"Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult."

"Had a great stay! Bed very comfortable. Everything there that we needed! Close to shops and restaurants. Lovely spot! Room ticked all the boxes except there was something going on with wet area on carpet in front to bathroom door. Initially thought it was from bathroom but after 2 days realised there must be a pipe broken under the floor! Apart from that everything was prefect "

"Incredibly relaxing stay! Bed was very comfortable (great for my bad back) fireplace in the Lounge Room with lovely outdoor bath was fantastic. I simply loved having a sauna inside the bathroom. When we arrived, we saw our little welcome pack with breakfast provisions for the first day and feed so we could feed the cows, goats and alpacas on the property. "

"We enjoyed our four night stay at Ashton retreat. We found it a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the established extensive gardens around the retreat.The little touches made it special-a full fruit bowl, fresh milk , a variety of breakfast cereals, fresh coffees and a variety of teas etc. Kate and Andy were very welcoming - - thank you for the delicious homemade berry jam and fresh homegrown rhubarb. We are looking forward to returning in the near future."

"Gums and Roses was such a gem to find in the Adelaide Hills! We loved the tiny house; small but has everything you could need, and in the perfect location. Perfect for watching the horses and kangaroos and close to the pubs if you're after a meal at night. Our host was so nice and let us come and meet her horses which was great. "We loved our stay in Crafters West. Julie was terrific - always responsive and never intrusive. The cottage was private, extremely comfortable and with adorable touches that made it very enjoyable.
