Welcome to one of the nicest and best-situated condos in the quaint, secluded community of Puako Beach. Very private ground floor end unit with two lanais, and lots of louvered windows that encourage a cross breeze in the evenings, naturally cooling the space (ceiling fans in each room help too). For extra cooling there are window AC in the living room and master bedroom. Recently remodeled bathrooms, fresh paint, and fully equipped kitchen. You're renting our home, not a hotel room or investment property. We welcome you as ohana (family) and our place is well stocked with everything you need to feel at home and dive into the rest and relaxation of the spirit of aloha. This condo is accessed from the outside via an open air walkway minimizing your contact with others. The large private side lanai is ideal for outdoor dining and has its own private BBQ. Luxurious bedding, linens, and towels. 500Mb high speed internet service with WiFi coverage throughout the condo. Two air conditioners so you will stay cool all year round. A reserved parking spot is conveniently located right in front of the unit.
Puako is a quaint, secluded community. As you drive past the historic 1858 Hokuloa Church, you will immediately feel like you have stepped back to a more relaxed time in old Hawaii. Quiet and away from the crush of tourists, there are only 170 homes along the two miles of Puako Beach Drive. Surrounded by lush greenery and fruit trees, you're just steps away from the historic and friendly family-owned Puako General Store, where you can buy food, cold drinks, prepared meals, rent snorkeling and water gear,and more. Stand-Up Paddleboards and kayaks are available for rent down the street. Ocean adventures (whale watching, snorkeling tours, and manta ray viewing excursions) are available at the Puako Boat Ramp, five minutes (or less) from your door.
The beautiful, peaceful, sandy beach is right across the street. It’s perfect for snorkeling and is home to many honu (sea turtles). Wake up for the sunrise over Mauna Kea and see the turtles sunning themselves on the rocks. Just a short walk from your front door! And, from the same spot, watch the best sunset on the island. It’s magical. Puako reef is also recognized as one of the best scuba areas in all of Hawaii. Close by is Beach 69, one of our favorites, and Hapuna Beach, named #1 Beach in America in 2021 and 2023! Great for swimming, snorkeling, and surfing if the weather is right. And you can get to them from Puako without having to get on the highway! Further up the highway is the Mauna Kea Resort. Pull up to the security gate and ask for a free public access beach pass. Or play golf, tennis, or pickleball at the Mauna Kea or Mauna Lani Resorts. All located just minutes from our condo.
PLEASE NOTE: This unit has ONE dedicated parking stall. Please consider renting a larger vehicle to accommodate all of your party. There is NO street parking allowed for vacation rentals according to local regulations. A secondary parking stall within the designating building parking lot MAY be an option but cannot be guaranteed for the duration of your stay or designated until shortly before your arrival. IF and as available, the additional parking stall within the designating building parking lot will be assessed an additional, daily fee. Please inquire directly, shortly before your arrival, for further information and potential availability.
Please keep in mind that Guest is in a very small and peaceful residential neighborhood. Noise carries over quiet landscapes and near water. IBR asks that Guest and Guest’s children respect Property neighbors' privacy, peace and quiet between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Please refrain from using the lanais for conversations or viewing devices during quiet hours.
