Chalet-style, two-story, 4 bed/2 bath single-family home on 2.5 acres. The home is set on a gentle hillside pasture with stunning views of rolling farm fields in the foreground, 270 degree views from the deck of surrounding mountain ranges in the distance and an unobstructed, center-stage view of the Whitefish Ski Resort Mountains.
Enter the main level tiled foyer with a coat closet and shoe shelves built-in, as well as a few coat hooks on the adjacent wall for convenience. A few paces further and the room opens up to soaring, cedar ceilings and an open-floor-plan between the kitchen, dining and living areas. The common space enjoys a cozy ambiance created by a full-height, brick-masonry fireplace and hearth with an easy-to-use propane insert. This common area is also soaked in natural light from the huge wall of floor-to-ceiling, picture windows boasting a northern backdrop of the ski-resort mountain view.
Toward the south end of the main level, you'll find the private guest area offering two separate bedrooms and a full bathroom for this level to use. A few rolls of toilet paper, hand soap and towels provided. There is some shampoo/conditioner and body wash supplies available just in case supplies haven't been procured yet.
Following the staircase on a gentle descent to the lower level, you'll find a remodeled, finished daylight basement. The stairs finish placing you facing the lower common space, which also has windows, as many and as large as the walls would allow down there. They will let everyone lounging down there to enjoy the same great view as the upper living area does. There is another propane fireplace, this one in the style of a free-standing stove. Both of the fireplaces are supplemental as we have electric heat and are meant for ambiance and a quick boost of warmth to take a chill out of the room should you feel one. The entire lower level is carpeted, warm, dry and cozy, as is, usually. Large sofas, arm chair, a large TV with streaming device, and a large coffee table to host puzzles, cards and games from a well stocked entertainment cupboard, all allow your entire group to unwind together, comfortably.
There is a full laundry room with front-load washer and dryer as well as a laundry sink, iron and board and hangers to hang delicates. Laundry soaps and basic cleaning supplies or appliances such a a vacuum and mop are found here as well, if needed. Following the hallway to the south end of the lower level, just as above, there are two separate bedrooms and another full bathroom.
If needed, I offer the use of up to 2 pack-n-play cribs with linens and 2 cribs. There are gates built in at the bottom and top of the stairs, but no other baby-proofing measures have been taken or provided.
I also have two fold-out ottomons that turn into 30"W x 75"L memory foam cots. These are full twin length but slightly narrower, however, placed together and they are 60"W, the same width as a queen, and still 75"L, which is the length of a twin/full. I have them at my own home for my kids to use when they have friends sleepover with no complaints. I will also attest to their comfort as I have also actually used them before myself a time or two.
The main level has a very large wrap around deck, with the best of it aimed north to enjoy the view and I have outdoor furniture so you might enjoy meals there as well. Also, a propane grill is provided with a tank of fuel.
Stacked below the deck is a concrete patio that is accessed by a basement entry off of the lower level common space. The patio does not wrap around, but is ample as it does mimic the above deck's main use area in shape and size. There is another outdoor table below, but the real treat is a thoughtfully placed hot tub that takes full advantage of the the view where it sits on the patio. Towels and flip flops of many sizes are provided in baskets just next to the basement door to take out to the spa. There are towel hooks placed around on the deck beams for you and there are metal shelves to place belongings as needed. No food or glass allowed by or in the hot tub EVER, please. Please return the sandals when done to the basket (we disinfect all sandals at every cleaning after every party's checkout. Also, just inside the basement entry, there is a free-standing coat rack near the fireplace to hang wet towels to dry afterwards.
No outdoor fires of any kind! The wind can kick up quickly and there is too much pasture grass that easily will sweep a flame up, ignite the lawn and engulf all the fields as far as you can see in mere minutes.
