Maui Seaside Inn is a hidden gem. Yes, it’s a little older and not as polished as the large chain hotels, but the location is great and the staff was lovely. Our room wasn’t one of the newly refurbished rooms, but it was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a Garden Room. I don’t think all Garden Rooms have the same view as our room, but we had an ocean view and a small balcony. The hotel layout lends itself toward many of the rooms having at least a little peek of the bay. There’s a restaurant on the premises, also food trucks down the street, and a nice bakery within walking distance. The property has a great vibe of old Hawaii. The breezy, open lobby, the pool and central courtyard are well manicured. It’s close to the airport, shopping, a little botanical garden and the swap meet on Saturday. It’s a great value. I’d definitely stay there again if I ever return to Maui.
