"The pictures on line are older, and do not reflect present conditions. We enjoyed our stay, great location. BUT, the place badly needs to be updated and is not well maintained. Just a lot of little things. The biggest problem was that the host was not truthful when asked about the hot tub. "The Host Ben is very responsive and kind. I wanted to experience living among the Ticos and we loved it. This place is unique and cozy for the 4 of us girls. There are some minor upgrades needed but we are so easygoing that it was not a bother. We survived a huge thunderstorm and no power for just a couple hours. The property has 2 cats. Also each bedroom has air conditioning and we enjoyed Netflix in the evening. This area is definitely a surf town and several restaurants walking distance....

"10 of us stayed at this beautiful property for a 40th birthday celebration, it was perfect! The house and view are even more gorgeous in person, it's called Sunset Villa for a reason!!! Checking in was a breeze, Yesenia was fabulous and we had no trouble communicating via Google Translate. "Our stay was wonderful! The house was perfect for our family of 5. The location to the beach to explore and swim was perfect. The kids loved being able to walk a few steps and be on the beach! The area was very quiet with close proximity to the town. The pizza place and Indian restaurant that are just across the street were both excellent! "If you are looking for a trip to stay at the beach to surf or swim, this is a good place. It is nice, safe, secure, has most all of the basic necessities and my hosts were kind and helpful when I had questions or needed anything. It was close to a busy street and restaurants so there was a lot of noise at times. It was right on the main road yet near the end of it so you can walk to get to all the shops and restuarants."
