I wish I could give this place 10 stars! We've stayed at dozens of vrbo's throughout the years and this one is now competing for our all time favorite. We stayed here in the winter as a home base for our ski trip to Snowy Range. It's a bit of a drive to the slopes (about 45 minutes) but well worth it to have this retreat to relax and recharge at the end of a long day of skiing. We'd love to return in the summer to enjoy the river and explore the surrounding area. Top 5 things about the place: 1. The most welcoming of welcomes - upon arrival we were greeted with a giant bouquet of fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, jar of dog treats for our pooch, and the fireplace all set up such that we only had to open the flue and light the match. 2. A kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need and more - as the person responsible for cooking for our group of 8 I had everything I could need - pots and pans galore in every size and shape, appliances (and top of the line ones) galore - crock pot, mixer, Cuisinart, immersion blender - you name it. 3. charming decor and comfortable furnishings - the furniture arrangement and decor makes you feel right at home. The great room is indeed great and plenty of space for our large crew to spread out (2 adults and 6 kids ages 8-18). Lots of seating areas and nooks to have a quiet moment or for kids to spread out and play games. Also beds and linens were top of the line. 4. Extras - lots of extras - puzzle, games, books, sleds - it's always a treat to have these extras and this home had plenty of those. 5. Location - secluded and private and views galore out the many picture windows. It was a picture perfect vacation!
