We have stayed at this hotel before & other Comfort Inns in the area. The rooms dont smell & the property is clean. I really like that breakfast is available early (because we leave early every morning) This was the first time having a not great experience with check in. When we arrived, I found a handwritten note on the counter to go to the housekeeping room. The young lady was lukewarm personality (I guess she was tired from working both jobs, front desk and washing laundry). It started as the typical check in process (driver license, payment method etc.). she then proceeds to tell me that she needs to photo copy my credit card. I expressed that I was concerned about the safe keeping of the card copy and didn't want it copied. She said "its policy and they do it all the time, it must be my first time staying there" I told her it wasn't my first time and I didn't want my card copied because the credit card information was already in their system. (I do understand that hotels can charge for damages or theft of items in the room). She said "I will gladly check you out if you want or you can talk to the manager tomorrow morning". Well needless to say, for every day we were there, we left early in the morning and returned late at night so I never had a chance to talk to the manager.
The other item that I would like to note- The pool is under construction/repairs. This was not noted on the website, I found out when I got to the hotel. Again, it was a note on the desk.
