"John & Dianne were utterly lovely and made every effort for us. The listing is very clear and if you're looking for peace and quiet in a serene valley, you couldn't do better. The track should be driven with care but after the first time accompanied by John, it's not too bad. I wouldn't bring a car with low clearance though. John and Dianne are in their home next door which was nice to know. They very much left us to it and didn't mind us playing our music by the pool. Otherwise we didn't see...

"The small house is in a secluded spot with fantastic views of Castiglione and the mountains, both from the terrace as well as the bedroom. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a really nice addition. The owners welcomed us with traditional food and wine, which was very unexpected but very welcome when we arrived in the late afternoon. They also provided us with a lot of recommendations regarding both restaurants and fun things to do in the area. We highly recommend the house and plan to be back. "

"This property should never be offered for rent. Our lives were in danger just driving up the narrow roads to arrive at the property. Once we finally did arrive we returned to the base of the mountain extremely stressed without staying the night. VRBO should not be representing this property nor should any other broker of rentable properties."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Podere Consani despite the weather not always being cooperative during our stay. The location was very quiet and had beautiful views. It was only a 12 to15 min. drive to the centre of Lucca. Susan was prompt at communication and was attentive to any needs we had on our visit. We enjoyed being able to see the olives being harvested. "Conveniently located near Rialto Bridge. The facility has sufficient equipment. The fact that there are two toilets is also helpful if multiple people are using the room. The person renting the room is very kind. The rooftop terrace is also nice. The floor is a little slanted, but even with that in mind, I can't give it less than 5 stars. "Die gesamte Familie war unglaublich nett und immer hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist einfach und sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Es finden sich viele sizilianisce Details im Haus und es gibt alles, was man für die Ferien braucht. Der Pool ist für kleine Kinder super zum erfrischen. Zum Meer braucht man eine ganze Weile mit dem Auto. Das ist der einzige Minuspunkt. Die umliegenden Ortschaften bieten ebenfalls alles, was man braucht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und glücklich!"
